Look in these threads for people offering reroll accounts. You might see more once this roulette campaign is over. Much easier than trying to start on your own.
It's all about self-driven progress at your own pace from beginning to endgame. If you like your grindan and watching yourself get a little bit stronger every day and like waifus/husbandos then give it a go.

And it's only "too late" if you can't stand the grinding in the first place. If that's fine, then you can start just about anytime. Getting good characters and summons off the bat make the starting line so much easier, so I would wait until the roulette ends(in a few days) and watch for anons handing out accounts. I know I will if any of them are worth shit.
You can't get banned for using a bot that uses real mouse clicks/movements with image/pixel detection on random paths/delays unless you leave it on for 2 days straight and set the captcha threshold to stupid amounts.
There was java script bots that read the games memory in the past that was detectable and a ton of people got banned.
