They changed how desync works
Lag feels incredibly different now, no weird movement desync (like walking then suddenly teleporting back because you were actually stuck on a wall)
But now hits aren't registering, for example aiming directly at someone and shooting them point blank misses entirely if you're lagging. You'll have to aim where they will be, by the time your latency finally sends it over.

I've had huge lag spikes occasionally in the past few weeks, so prior to the patch I've actually become accustomed to it
The patch seems to have changed something which now makes me lag indefinitely (300 ms after patch from a constant 12-16 ms right before the patch)
