I bet you've never even Coined out Kazakus for a turn 4 max level potion with Bloodbloom. It's borderline orgasmic when you trade 10 health for 10 armor and a 8/8 minion. It's even better on turn 8 when you can use Reno immediately after Bloodbloom.
Same reason I play Elder Scrolls. The game itself is shit but has potential. You're playing it hoping one day you can have enough cards to play a decent deck, but at that point the novelty is long gone and all that remains is the joyless grind of pvp and there's no point in playing the game anymore.

What does that have have to do with Auctioneer? The same deck being around since the game started is actually a good reason to change something.
You're forgetting oil and tempo, two tier one decks. Then there have been plenty of viable options, even kingsbane is an option now.

Aggro Hunter is in a pretty underwhelming spot currently, they nerfed Undertaker and Leper Gnome long ago. The formats have also been split between a standard rotation and an eternal format (creeper, mad scientist, loatheb ie. the good cards are now eternal format only)
The new Hunter craze is playing an anti-aggro deck full of secrets and spells to build midgame momentum (and also sometimes highroll summoning a 3/4 and a 10/10 on turn 4), or playing a deck with early secrets that runs only highmanes and King Krush in addition to an 8 mana 6/6 that summons them from your deck when played
I don't understand why people put Flare in Spell Hunter, you already dick Jaina if you have simple logic and can play around secrets. I guess I just answered my own question.

Secret Mage, Control Warlock and Spiteful Priest are probably the most brainless decks around. Control Warlock can get complex with Defiles, but Control players are so dumb that they mess it up even when sober and they win anyway so you'll be fine.

The new Shaman Hero card is a board-wide Hex. The hero power says "Your Overload effects Heal and refund mana instead" Summon a Cauldron Totem for 2 mana.
Cauldron Totems have +1 health and an extra effect. Searing has poisonous. Stoneclaw has divine shield. Healing has deathrattle: resummon. Wrath of Air has +1 additional spelldamage.

Haven't really played much recently, also I only really play control mage and control paladin, have all cards for both classes and all relevant legendaries now.
Propably going to preorder this time around anyway so I'm not really worried about saving up, I'd rather keep cracking packs until I hit the pity counter for the rotating sets.

You realize that the weakness of the deck is that often it bricks when you don't have spellstone on 5 or Kathrena on 8? It's not far off from being a highroll deck, so shut the fuck up about the fact that you're "bricking". You're probably the same guy that was complaining about drawing Y'shaarj before Barnes all the time.

This card would still be totally broken, right? I can't think of a decent penalty for a low cost Echo minion so Quest Rogue may reclaim it's place at the top

I've also been playing around with it, come to the conclusion that stuff like secret Keeper is just bad and it should just be like Spell Hunter but with four or five big minions (Highmane, Kathreena, Krush and maybe Wyrm or Devilsaur) instead of just Y'Shaarj, Huntress is acceptable off of Barnes but Spellbreaker bricks it

Ivory knight is so fucking good in dude paladin decks. Being able to pull a clutch stand against darkness or level up has really turned the tides in a lot of matches, and the healing effect can help you live long enough to outlast secret mages and other aggro match ups.
