So that means Radovid wins the war in the books too?

because they do, they mention the future events that happen waaaay after the games though.

It's up to the player to decide the outcome of the Third war. The closest thing to a confirmation you get is that in the 14th century Nilfgaard rules the North.

Attached: tumblr_inline_p4kpkl0z5C1utoco7_540.png (540x600, 389K)

The books jump back and forth in time, more so as you get further in. You have a few chapters from the main characters' pov then some with historians arguing about the details of battles or people researching the facts hidden within the various versions of the Legend of Ciri.
Doubt it, but it isn't impossible. Either way Nilfgaard eventually takes over.

>the 14th century Nilfgaard rules the North.
it could mean cintra under a personal union and dol blathanna territories, so that's up to your interpretation too

>the book is talking about philippa (in a pre-games scenario)
>then the narrator says that in the future she will die by torture and be revered as a saint
Stuff like that

You literally can't consider the games another other than a well written fan fiction. Sapkowski made sure of that. I consider the games to be just that, honestly. I'm very glad they were made, but one cannot consider them to be in the same timeline as the books

Is Ciri a total mary sue in the books too?

Now i get it, thanks

Attached: kf57285pj9my.png (1920x1080, 2.75M)

>well written

Attached: 13.jpg (497x359, 62K)

If you define a mary sue as an individual who does no wrong and is instantly the best in her profession, absolutely not

Her story really is a tragedy and a trail by fire

Attached: 1518548516769.jpg (1920x1080, 360K)

Ciris story is pretty tragic desu.
All i wanted to do is to make her happy, specially after Vesemir died and she blamed herself...
Poor girl.

>Delannoy, Flourens, linguist and historian b. 1432 in Vicovaro, in the years 1460– 1475 secretary and librarian to the imperial court. Indefatiguable scholar if legends and folktales, he wrote many treasises considered classics of ancient language and literature of the Empire's northern regions. His most important works are: Myths and Legends of the Peoples of the North; Fairy Tales and Stories; The Surprise, or the Myth of the Elder Blood; A Saga about a Witcher, and The Witcher and the Witcher Girl, or the Endless Search.
>literature of the Empire's northern regions
>Peoples of the North
Considering that elves are likely gone from the world by the point when EMM was written, I doubt DB or their race as a whole would not get an honorary mention given they were NG's allies during the war. And the authors would likely say 'people of the North' if they wanted to refer to Cintrians alone.

>does no wrong and is instantly the best in her profession
and is also loved by everyone everywhere, and literally the one thing that can't stop the heat death of the universe

No. Ciri spends most of the books being some combination of lost, captured, tortured, and horribly injured.

Yeah, I can totally see if one plays only the games and considers Ciri a mary sue. However, you must realize that she went through some pretty brutal shit. In fact, bad things literally don't stop happening to her

Attached: 1520036956758.png (1920x1080, 2.49M)

>Empire's northern regions
>Peoples of the North
You're grasping at straws here m8
Empire's northern regions could mean anything from Cintra to Kovir, you really can't know
Honestly i find it very unlikely that Nilfgaard would be able to seize and control all of the northern kingdoms for such a long time, rebellions and instabillity would be too prevalent for the empire to deal with

>Considering that elves are likely gone from the world by the point when EMM was written,
why?

In the books, Nilfgaard eventually wins. That's a fact man. You can deny it all you want, but Sapkowski made it pretty obvious. You can also say that the games have variable ending, but Sapkowski, once again, made it clear that the games are not an extension of the books

Attached: 1519664749976.jpg (1920x1080, 1.47M)

When does the season end? Any news on a patch?

What happens to Trissfu in the future ?
Does it say ?

Attached: 1499802819035.jpg (1920x1080, 1.59M)

This. However, I've fallen in love with her because of games, not books. I read the books before games came out and felt sympathy for her, but not love

Attached: 1495303653220.jpg (3840x2160, 1.19M)

>That's a fact man. You can deny it all you want, but Sapkowski made it pretty obvious.
I didn't reak the books, i'm just asking for evidence because everytime i get into this discussion the only piece of evidence someone presents me is this weak shit that can be interpreted in various ways and serves as no proof whatsoever. If you have more meningful excerpts from the books that further reinforce your argument i won't argue against it, but this single excerpt that i imagine it's you bringing up every single time doesn't mean that Nilfgaard took over the whole north.

She lives happily ever after with Geralt, baffling Koviri scientists for years to come. The bafflement eventually shifts from how a sorceress can be so cute, to how one woman can be so perfect as the years become decades and their happiness shows no signs of abating.

they need to get this woman to write more songs
youtube.com/watch?v=L_FzBBs3FFw

I always seen Nilfgaard raids as analogy to Ottomans, they conquered and vasalised huge part of Europe, but in the end based Nordmen repelled them

Eventually the positive impact Triss has on Geralt finally convinces him to retire. The world no longer needs witchers and monsters are largely dealt with by the soldiery. The combined income brought on by Geralt's ownership and care of Corvo Bianco and Triss' casual sorcery allows them to live comfortably together with minimal time apart. Eskel and Lambert joke with and tease Geralt occasionally for finally stepping off the path, but it's done in humor since they're glad to see their friend and companion finally happy after so long. Occasionally Geralt feels melancholic thinking about how he misses Vesemir and wishes he could see him, but he knows Vesemir did what he had to and he will always appreciate it. Though some outsiders occasionally try to enlist the skills of Geralt of Rivia or Triss Merigold for their own ends, Triss' sorcery keeps the couple relatively concealed so they can enjoy their peace together. Geralt finally opening up to Triss, and Triss over the moon since Geralt finally came to his senses and realized what he had staring him in the face for so long. You chose wisely, Trissfriend.

So comfy

youtu.be/Q2_dfDhM2z8 Wonder if whoever winds up playing Little Eye in the Netflix thing will be able to sing half as well

As I said, it's not an established dogma, but my interpretation based off the wording of that one excerpt, the attitude Nilfgaardian scholars have towards unorthodox views regarding the outcome of the Second War, the witch hunts in the North - all lead me to believe that Nilfgaard will soon grow to be represented as a saviour, more so than a conqueror, thanks to Raddy Daddy's potential order of fanatics.

>I didn't reak the books
Read the books before coming up with fan fiction founded on even more fan fiction.

Elves have been misrepresented and discriminated ever since Aelirenn. I'd imagine that after the Aen Elle finally managed to re-open the gate towards other worlds, Aen Seidhe were the first to flock to Tir na Lia or other uncharted territories. The only thing the books said on the topic was that as the Aen Seidhe were leaving the human world, they made sure to destroy everything they built there so that nobody during Nimue's timeline knew what Francesca Findabair truly looked like.

Yen is objectively hotter than Triss.

She witnesses Geralt and Yennefer's death, their spiritual 'wedding' in the afterlife, she lets Ciri go escort her parents to the Isle of Avallac'h(?), thus defying Lodge orders and nothing more is mentioned of her afterwards. She's kind of a minor character in the books.

Attached: merigold.jpg (1920x2716, 3.11M)

>she lets Ciri go escort her parents to the Isle of Avallac'h(?), thus defying Lodge orders and nothing more is mentioned of her afterwards

Even in the books Trissfu is the same cutie who sacrifices herself and does whatever it takes for the greater good.
Philipa probably banished her or killed her... :(
and the yencucks are even butthurt that she didn't go against the Lodge earlier :((

Attached: TTR.jpg (480x480, 39K)

One would think that if she loved Geralt that much she would have sent a: "Some of you witchers were alright, don't come to Thanedd tomorrow"

>She's kind of a minor character in the books.
top kek

She literally saved Geralts life there tho, didn't she?
Was do you think was she supposed to do ?

To warn her loved one to gtfo with Ciri and possibly Yennefer?

>save someone's life after putting their life in danger
HMMMM

Triss
>btfo nilfgaardians during the battle of sodden hill
yen
>jumps on emhyr's dick

Yen too btfo'd Niflgaardians during the First War.

based Trissfu, truly a perfection

Attached: t.jpg (862x927, 116K)

>I will remember you, Iris von Everec
>That no longer matters

Attached: 6972939F-C16B-4A47-AC1F-6B0274ED0780.gif (136x102, 102K)

How ?
You are acting as she knew people are there to take Ciri and deliberately didn't warn them which would make no sense.

>eddie redmayne with a wig

Yen did just as much at the battle, without getting btfo herself. Also unlike Triss, she was constantly prepared to and actively doing anything for Ciri. You aren't really picking the best examples there.

She knew Ciri was on the isle, she knew Vilgefortz and Terranova were on the isle and they were the prime suspects of conspiring with Nilfgaard prior to Tissaia asking Yennefer to bring Ciri to Garstang. She knew Ciri was a Source with close to zero training so a coup would be the perfect environment for her to lose control. Triss' fault was her loyalty to Philippa from the start.

I've gotten the feeling of replaying Witcher 3 by trying out NG+, I missed a lot of sidequests like letho's in my original playthrough. How is NG+ anyway?

Attached: 1437630106287.jpg (640x360, 30K)

>but my interpretation based off the wording
LMAO
so you admit it's just conjecture from your part
>Read the books before coming up with fan fiction founded on even more fan fiction.
Nice argument you have there totally not a troll

>The closest thing to a confirmation you get is that in the 14th century Nilfgaard rules the North.
You actually have trouble reading, don't you? Never said it's the absolute truth, you chose to interpret it that way.

The Lord of Undvik is a fantastic quest, with amazing scenery and atmosphere, but then the fight against the giant is meh

How big is the jump in difficulty going from blood and broken bones to death march? I feel like many boss fights are over way too easily and quickly in broken bones

I actually hated it the most since it was "follow the footstep trail with witcher senses for 20 minutes".
and the caves, i fucking hate caves

I dunno I really like the feeling you get of being in a deserted island that's home to a legendary monster, and TW3 is very good at setting the atmosphere with environment sounds

Only part i liked was where you realize that the Ice Giant actually has some intelligence and he is preparing a boat to flee the Ragnarok or something :(
Felt bad for killing him, wished i could reason with him.

Yeah I too felt a bid bad for killing him. But at the end of the day he's a dangerous monster and you're a professional monster murderer so eh

does he die or something

>I've been deliberately delaying playing B&W because I don't want to bring closure to Geralt's adventures
You are literally me, it took me month to finish BaW because I didn't want to end

I felt bad sure, but knowing that Trissfu will be waiting for me at the end made it way easier.

cdp fucked up this

About to start playing tw1 for the first time. What should I expect?

Awful combat.

Any mods or anything that makes it better?

Every moment with Trissfu is timeless.

Attached: 1519406782829.jpg (736x1103, 62K)

Rhythm game combat, no really pay attention in the prologue tutorials, questionable voice acting, 11/10 atmosphere (upgraded to 12/10 in act 4).

dead

I got to 8-2 over 7 times the past 7 days. My decks simply aren't good enough to deal with all the bullshit.

Why do you post these? Everybody has a pile of full runs at this point, it requires zero skill and only luck.

>it requires zero skill and only luck.
No!

I'm sorry but yes, if you want to impress someone you need to play more serious games with actual competition and game mechanics.

It requires way more skill than you might be thinking of.

I have eight full runs out of maybe 20 attempts and I am not delusional enough to pretend the game is skill-based.

It requires you to know what all the cards do. That's something that any 2k player has already mastered.

If that Nilfgaardian cunt wanted to test if Yoana's armor could stop bolts he could have just shot at it, what exactly was the point of putting it on a person

because n*lfgaardians are scum
