I was going to photoshop Special Inquisitor Morag's hat onto a blushing Naoto but it was hard and didn't work out so I'll just say that Aegis is best girl.
It's "boring" in the sense that it's not over the top the way persona 3-5 are, and is more subdued and character focused like 1/2 were.
If you're the kind of person that will get mad that the series is a a third over and you've only seen 3-4 big fight scenes with personas you should probably skip it, but the fact that it doesn't need to be full of video gamey stuff like dungeon crawling or a mute self insert protagonist gives it a real edge over other persona anime, it even has the best friend character not be a total gag loser.
Because atlus wants to pretend that all the persona games take place in the same timeline, while trinity soul does stuff that very explicitly makes P4 impossible and was clearly based on P3 being the only persona thing. That, and they got the guy who wrote bible back to do it.

They're still high schoolers except for a few characters who are instead just out of highschool by a few years, but the issues a certainly a lot more adult or at the very least a lot more "intense". If you're one of the people that got kinda annoyed when futabas implied mental issues were just kinda swept under the rug magically after you beat her dungeon you'll probably enjoy some of the places it goes to.

I would kill for a persona game by the actual bible black writer/artist, sei shoujo though. he pretty much already made a vn where the characters all have personas too.

Ah, I didn't realize the anime adaption writer was different. The direction is done by one of the guys that worked on the GITS SaC though, so its very good.
