mount speed is a luxury to work on when you're caught up, focus on gear to get where you want to be

As much as I love Sephirot as a fight, I actually don't very much like Fiend. I love the FF6 theme the Warring Triad fights all use for phase 1, but I don't really like Fiend or Infinity that much. It's like Equilibrium > Fiend > Infinity for me

It doesn't drop from lockboxes, only Sekret. Emperor's Hairpin only drops from Emperor, Strider Boots only drop from the big bird with big memes, Scorpion Harness only drops from Sekret, but Sekret can also drop the Wind-up Mithra which CAN be obtained from lockboxes. Pazuzu Feathers and the altar can only drop from Pazuzu

Well, if you spawn him, kill him and don't get the drop, you've got another 120 minutes before he can spawn again

Because I'm a nostalgia faggot and FF6 was one of my favourite games, Dancing Mad was one of my favourite tracks and I'm glad to have it back.

It really isn't. The lower cooldown actually makes MNK outright less punishing, and simply gives far greater burst opportunities than MNK had before, but Perfect Balance's changed cooldown doesn't add difficulty to the job. MNK has unfortunately been very close to its original design ever since they first buffed Greased Lightning and changed the positional bonuses. Perfect Balance's change is nice, but I don't feel that it adds difficulty to the job that didn't already exist
