I hope I can get on with you guys tonight but that might not be possible due to time constraints and being away from home. I'll be back soon and give some desktop headpats.
Adam Rivera
First for Daft Punk dance party tomorrow night at 7pm EST!
On a side note. Was that the fastest we've ever hit bump limit?
Nicholas Gray
You should be able to piece together how to do it just by knowing that you've got to change a line of text in the SDK. Nobody told me how to do it but I figured it out anyways because I'm not a chump.
If he said it was too loud in Rave Robbi to understand. Add Somestupidguy, he is the one doing it
Jayden Bennett
Notice you try to argue against my point by saying user x, y, and z; however the 20+ people in the discord screenshots can hardly be called that now can they? This isn't a case of a few tight knit buddies. For that matter I did not disagree with chatting up a particular user that you've grown close with, personally I think that's reasonable. Having a large group is harmful though. To see evidence of that just look at what you're saying. According to you the discorders are the "betters" the patricians and keepers of the community. Who are only victims of the awful unwashed masses. Am I exaggerating? Doesn't seem like it, based on what you posted it seems that you and others will take this view quite readily maybe already even have. Thus, fracturing the community. Of course the only reason these user's were able to meet and make connections in the first place was through the thread. To take that same potential from future user's that would be in the same situation they started so you can instead focus on an isolated community of the validated is absolutely selfish. It's leeching off the greater community here and our future members without giving back. It's creating a barrier of entry to give an opinion on things or to create culture as nothing would count if there's some old guard tribunal to give the official word. In the thread the process is open and all can participate. To have these discord groups exist or grow will eventually shift this dynamic off site where it will fester unseen.
Regarding your last point there are a multitude of nice pleasant anons who I did not see in the discord groups, and have had the pleasure of meeting recently. It seems that you've already become too closed off to see them. People are tribal creatures and creating fractured off site communities will inevitably cause problems as that is our nature.
I'm really bad at articulating my thoughts, so I'd like to thank you for saying the stuff I personally feel, and think, when it comes to these sorts of things.
Isaac Lewis
hey everyone which dinner circle do I join now that I have vr?
>To take that same potential from future user's that would be in the same situation they started so you can instead focus on an isolated community of the validated is absolutely selfish.
I'm relatively new here, and I haven't felt left out of anything despite the existence of these discords. I asked in the thread how to join a meetup and within minutes someone dropped their own name and told me to add them and join the meetup.
It's totally natural for groups of friends to form, and break off and do their own thing. People need to stop panicing and realize that the meetups will continue and that there will always be people in the thread willing to drop their name and help new anons join us.
Aaron Morris
I am of the opinion that keeping discussion in the thread is important and healthy. A little meta-posting is necessary to air grievances and the format here allows for well though out discussion if you take advantage of it.
I don't know about others, but I do read and give consideration to the thoughts that user's express in these threads even if I do disagree half the time.
it's like they fucked up trying to make a cupless corset
Tyler Roberts
Well, I'm not going to let some autist on a nigerian knitting website dictate how I interact with my friends.
Dylan Nelson
>I'm relatively new here >reddit posting pottery I don't really think the worry was the meetups would stop.
Jaxon Hughes
it's cambodian you fucking prick.
Jacob Richardson
>I'm relatively new here, but I'm gonna go ahead and throw my opinion on something that's been a slow burning issue for months now, into the ring anyway
The post I was replying to made the argument that newer users would not have a point of entry into the community, so as a newer user I felt my perspective on that particular point was indeed valid.
Oliver Ortiz
I know he's doing it, I was just wondering what map, because I can't load maps like tiz or mechadonix.
sorry to interrupt your regularly scheduled shitposting and drama, but I have an actual model question.
particle emitter collision.
how do? I want particles to collide with the environment or hell, even people. I've seen it done and I'm wondering how that goes, because the collision section of the emitter settings is chinese to me.
we've made a silent agreement not to tell anyone how to do that because even when it's used responsibly it's just unnecessary lag and attention whoring. I'm sure you understand.
Cooper Edwards
I I don't know what it is, but it's like S E K K O is so damn expressive and fitting for that avatar that I have the easiest time believing he's a real person standing in front of me more than anyone else.
William Gonzalez
Who knows that video of the creepy anime girl eating penguins from a KFC bucket and shoves them up her puss or sonething
Jacob Peterson
if they want to do it then they want to do it look at you going this far to tell others what not to do
Angel Carter
The complete retort to this post is it was literally a fucking Terraria discord. It was originally planned for about 6 of us to play. It ended up with about a dozen anons interested, and all played for several days together during off hours. Literally not fucking /vrg/ related. In fact we may have well advertised this in the terraria general. By which means we met these anons is none of anyone's business, and certainly not property of /vrg/ or a danger of said thread. Now I will admit it snowballed a bit into about 20 people, some dropping in and out over these two weeks. It was by and large an idle channel, with the voice chat primarily used by the several that did play Terraria.
The only problems arose when the possibly 6 fucking times actual /vrg/ or off topic posting arose, which was usually quickly dismissed with TERRARIA DISCORD ONLY spam in the discord. Only today has there been peak chat in the general channel due to the shitposting in the thread, which was coming from inside the discord from some obvious guilty conscious party. It was literally a nonfucking issue, no boogieman, no plotting, no nothing half the time aside from a bit of idle banter and idling.
Regardless; it was doomed from the beginning due to how cancerous the things are. So I do not disagree with it being disbanded, it was a matter of time. Though it was not the fucking source of shitposting and cancer some parties may think it was. Oh hey I can post a wall of text too.
Hunter Myers
Yes, because after all this is how we should post amirite? Clearly a true example of an oldfag and not a filthy offsite transplant.
Zachary Cox
Reminder to be kind to other anons, no matter what kind of person they are! And have some music from Aria. youtube.com/watch?v=Jd_Sp-T266I
Also, I'll say sorry for forgetting to post this last thread. I went off for a while to come back to a whole thread having gone by. I wish we could all get along even if we try to hammer out how we want to proceed with the community from now on.
Only thing I'd imagine affecting it AvatarValidation but I'm not seeing anything limiting polys
Carter Davis
What's the poly limit? Search for it. Fuck, come on man.
Leo Baker
He's one of the same people who wants a /vrg/ discord just so he can use it as a platform to lewd and manipulate people. And also invite his random friends from reddit to it.
Its almost like you're all shitty people and no amount of pretend will fix you, this type of shit happens with every Veeky Forums related group I've ever spent time with without fail
Jordan Murphy
>Now I will admit it snowballed a bit into about 20 people Now wait a minute, it shouldn't be relevant why something was started now should it? Very few things are started with bad intentions I have no doubt anyone would of seen that as fine at the beginning. Just a couple of user's for a specific purpose. However, >The only problems arose when the possibly 6 fucking times actual /vrg/ or off topic posting arose I don't think it has been around that long and it seem that there already some of the classic problems arising. Would this trend not continue?
I don't imagine there was anything harmful about it but it had potential to be. I'm not advocating a ban on these things only awareness and discussion. I'd like to see these stay what they should as maybe at most a couple of close friends talking for a specific purpose and to recognize that it could become bad.
Lincoln Collins
i might be retarded
William Richardson
Sleep tight Shinobu
Dominic Sanchez
We're all retarded here, haven't you been reading the threads?
in Assets\VRCSDK\Dependencies\VRChat\Editor Edit the 20000 poly limit thingy in VRC_SdkControlPanel.cs Don't go over 1 mesh unless you want to get blocked
Sekko seems like one of the most fun people to hang out with irl. Always in a good mood and fun to be around. And yeah he is one of the most "believable" avatars
Levi Turner
The voice fits Aoba and I don't understand why.
Jack Cooper
not him but from what I saw the anti discord people seemed like they were the loneliest depressed hateful people in existence. no one has yet to share any screenshots of them plotting to "destroy" the thread, it was just some friends and a discord doing nothing.
Cameron Powell
hes my favorite vrbuddy!! i wish i could spend more time with him but i dont want to be a clingy faggot!
Didn't realize it was something special, figured it was just playing with settings.
Guess I'll just have to play around. Maybe I'll finally get around to watching one of those particle tutorials to get some insight on how to actually mess with particles instead of going in blind.
I just want to say that i dont really care about this discord group stuff.
I'm not in any groups, but I have friended a few anons on discord, so there's that.
Kayden Diaz
best power couple
Brandon Taylor
Discord isn't a big bad evil, but /vrg/ needs to remain /vrg/. Basically we need to stop the shitposting on both sides because it's off topic and all you mother fuckers are triggering the shit out of me.
Adrian Peterson
>go to meetup >80% mutes and 20% funny people
>go to randoms >pull this shit off and make a friend
Why do we go to meetups again?
We were jumping on hapless desktoppers who dared check out the Anor Londo boss room world.
just an old ass ERP server where nobody ERPs and porn is shared.
stop linking #mmerp-ooc and saying it has anything to do with VRchat. Have you USED IRC? It's like the opposite of VRchat.
Liam Wilson
>streamer and their posse in the meetup They don't seem to be streaming at the moment, so maybe it's just their little getaway but still, keep em peeped.
A cute Too bad they're gonna go monogomous at this rate, its always fun seeing their shit and I'd be lying through my teeth if I said I didn't want some abyssal lewd
Jeremiah Turner
If you want to be around normies then sign up for Facebook.
Grayson Green
>not flipping on your nigra avatars the moment you see a streamer
Does the creator of that mansion world have that avatar for download anywhere? I'd like to be able to have it at the ready for an impromptu raid
Then why the fuck do you think it was dissolved after there was a big uproar about it? It was an idle channel for a handful of anons for all intents and purposes. Once it got brought out as the boogieman, we did what the insecure anonymous imageboard wanted and set it aflame. It wasn't worth the drama to play terraria for the few anons and post the occasional nonsense.
Logan Taylor
What's the point of shitting on normies when they're easy going, and trying to be friends with you? This is VRChat, anyone with a headset is guaranteed to be a bit weird.
Jaxson Foster
The coolest shit at the meetups have been a pool's closed raid, and a saxton hale raid. none of which are being done regularly.
80% of you cunts are boring as fuck and whine about others realizing it and not wanting to associate with you at all.
Mason Turner
>"People aren't allowed to be friends on an anonymous imageboard!"
Maybe you should have been bullied into suicide in high school.
Aiden Hall
user's are on regularly so there's more opportunity to see the same people. Also as the length of interaction increases you begin to realize just how much we share all coming from the same spot on the internet. It doesn't add as much at first but there is that odd warm sense of familiarity after a while. Don't know how to describe it really but it's what I can only imagine living in a village must of felt like in the past. A shared history and culture is pretty powerful.
Austin Wright
>11 fps on laptop Don't lag me bro!
Liam Morgan
>twisting someone's words around Also, tone down the edge mr. school shooter
Alexander Russell
Then what's the problem with the Discord Channel? I'm part of a lot of Discord channels, am I a boogieman too for not inviting you and hurting your feelings?
Ryan Ramirez
At least read the post you reply to. I just think we should form bonds in an accessible way and be wary of what many could see as being secret clubs.
I think that was admirable. I'm sorry it turned out that way.
Brody Campbell
>assuming hurt feelings are the only reason discords are bad and that the only people who dislike the idea of having one are butthurt about not being included Not even the guy who seems to think he'll get anywhere with you. You're just not worth trying to convince, since every one of your replies can be boiled down to "no u". Have your discord if you'd like, but be prepared to get shat on when someone in your little group inevitably gets petty and decides to start posting screenshots in the threads, you know, where they don't belong.
Isaac Carter
>form bonds in an accessible way
They DID form those bonds, that's what made them create the Discord and invite those they were friends with or shared similar interests with. It's you betafags who had a problem with that and became insecure over a PRIVATE DISCORD for PRIVATE USE that was none of your business.
I bet you crybabies were the loners in high school who would have gone for the new high score. Maybe this insecurity is the reason you fags were meant to be alone.
Benjamin Baker
I raise my farts with the fields of your sustinence
Jonathan Baker
>all this projecting Lmao
Brody Hill
Literally butthurt over being so autistic that you can't make good friends :-)
I can't really remember, all I've seen for the past few months is just shitposting by people who aren't from here, and people who are always around that think it's so hilarious to throw the threads into chaos.
Lucas Bailey
no
Nicholas Hernandez
Then start having fun again
Show us your latest avatar work, screenshots with QTs and traps, roleplay shenanigans. And quit whining about a Discord that doesn't affect you at all
