seaofthieves.com/ Sea of Thieves is an action-adventure video game developed by Rare and published by Microsoft Studios for Microsoft Windows (10 only) and Xbox One.

>pick up 2 snakes >put them below deck near stairs to guard your treasure >anyone who boards trying to look for it will be bitten because they won't assume to play music while raiding your ship
I'm surprised at how fast some people have hit level 30 or above as you have to be grinding 12+ hours a day. Now I would not be surprised if someone hit 50 or got close to it by the end of this month.

Raided a fort today good loot
Luis Fisher
>friend and I have been playing every night since launch >only 2 out of our 15 man group to okay it >today we convinced another friend to try it >our first time on a galleon >decide to immediately go to a skelly fort >2 other galleons and 3 sloops all working together to take out the skelly's >sneakily go on the galleons and raise the anchors >do the same to the sloops >go to the island >10 people divying up loot in the vault >I run in with a powder keg >blow us all to hell >friends escape with the loot
5 other people bought the game after posting about it in our discord. I love being a pirate.
no idea otherwise, both my pcs did it automatically back when it came out
Joshua Richardson
I wish galleons had a deployable rowboat.
Andrew Carter
i wish 6 and 8 ships were a thing
Frigate class, destroyer class

Below deck cannons would be sweet
Easton Carter
i got it sorted, thanks, turned out i had it all along and microsoft was just dicking with me a bit, they always do that. I am downloading the gayme on my pc now ;)

I spent almost an hour trying to find a decent female model before I got frustrated and just picked a big ol fat guy
Liam Hall
I say the galleon should be 4 minimum and they should add a midground ship (schooner) that could ideally be operated by 3, with 2 sets of guns and 2 sails.
I managed to find a lot of shit just from randomly sailing to different islands, random skeleton skulls just laying on the beach, tea crates here and there, I don't mind the exploration playstyle now and again
I'm praying for this in the future. I either run solo or with 2/3 of my mates, but having to board a Galleon with three of us just feels so clunky when were used to swooping in and snatching gold, as well outpacing Galleons and littering them with holes before they can land a shot on us. A 3 man ship with more things to manage then the Sloop, but less then the Galleon with a medium speed and firepower would be diamonds
>Head towards pirate outpost >Galleon already there >They notice us and mobilize for a dogfight >we Immediately predict movement and get a powder keg under them, and he boards and sinks the crew >Clearing skeleton waves >They come back because they only spawned one island away >Sink them a second time with a choice powder keg >Clearing skeleton waves >They come back because they only spawned one island away >Sink them a third time with a choice powder keg >this continues till we run out of cannonballs >in this time, a sloop also comes to the island >Theyre Xbox and cannot talk >We tell them that theres an enemy Galleon and we need to work together >Clear the final wave, split the treasure For real though, fuck the respawn system, if your ship sinks twice at an skeleton outpost, it should respawn across the entire map
Blake Campbell
>Just did a bunch of skelly missions >Got some skulls to bring back, on the way to outpost >Notice that some skulls had gone missing from where I we put them >See a guy walk around with one of the skulls >Think nothing of it >we get back, only have two skulls left on the entire ship >crewmate types "Where the ***** are the **** skulls you **** ********??!?!"
>"Oh, I threw those overboard while we were sailing here, did we need those?"
>he still doesn't know how to git gud at SoT still Bet you nerds didn't put all your stat points into combat states like strength or dexterity, when the real winner is putting all stat points into luck.
>digging up treasure >bringing it back to ship >on last return I notice most valuable stuff is missing >see sloop leaving from otherside of island >they'd been taking the treasure as I'd been dropping it off Fucking hell I got outplayed so hard, I ended up chasing them and dueled at the outpost, killed them both but then a shark got me and they were able to cash in, if you two read this fuck you but it was pretty funny, it makes me want to play like a scumbag too
I was solo queue with a bunch of stuff in my hold. I just wanted to sell my stuff and was on a timetable, and I didn't think anything of it. It's only now that I realize that the only reason anyone would ever pull into an outpost is because they're either licking their wounds from a major battle, or they've got shit to sell.
Camden Diaz
its a pirate way of playing draw penises on enemy ship maps
Juan Torres
Honest truth. Guy was just new or something and was fucking around I guess.
Zachary Sanchez
That goes beyond fucking around. That's shit you lock someone in the brig for.
if you use an autoclicker you can probably make their map unusable
Ryan Lewis
>tfw can write nigger on maps and can't get in trouble I'm gonna sneakyboi onto a galleon that's at a fort and just wait for them next time.
Brody Bennett
Had a grand night with a Veeky Forums from the dischord. We annihilated a Galleon as they were taking on a fort, buddy even hit a guy carrying a gunpowder barrel as he was doing that barrel thing.
It was brillaint, otherwise rest of it was typical gameplay, we didn't have enough cannonballs so we just went on treasure hunting and such, while gathering supplies.
Get like 100 cannon balls, and Planks, and 80 bananas before I get booted by lag.
Samuel Ward
Galleon is noob tier
Cameron Martin
>installed windows 10 just for this man I hate windows 10 already
Cooper Watson
You installed windows 10 for this game despite all the reviews?
Wyatt Williams
I hated Win10 at launch but I'd never go back to 7 now user, Win10 shits on it
Nathaniel King
it wasn't that hard to make a partition and game reviews can suck my dick dude, try playing games for yourself some time
literally only playing this because 1. its free 2. i have 3 other friends to try it with
Jayden Parker
>trusting "paid reviewers"
even reviewers that shit on games can't be trusted
Ryder Robinson
Put all the privacy shit to off in the setting and put the telemetry to 1 (basic).
Brayden Davis
Don't get me wrong, I love this game. It just seems like most people hopped on the bandwagon to hate it just for the sake of hating it.
Cameron Butler
All the more reason to try it out, huh?
Juan Sanchez
Like every games ever on /v/
Landon Jones
hatewagon of the century award goes to metal gear survive
i enjoyed it but the eceleb community really went hard on it without actually playing it
Lucas Jackson
>friends decide to do a fort >we all go >a whole fucking fleet of sloops show up and we all start fighting the skeletons >one or two other sloops sail past and fire a few shots >literally 3/4ths the whole server is there >as the boss spawns suddenly all the friendliness disappears from everyone >theres a few people killing the boss as total bedlam erupts outside >someone had filled our ship with gunpowder barrels utterly and completely btfoing our ship >not before we also comandeered half the sloops and started sinking the other half >rammed everything together and in the complete chaos everyones boats sunk or sailed off into the distance while taking on water >literally one half dead random became king of the skeleton fort, after killing our last guy, with no ship to load the loot onto >no idea if anyone ever managed to actually come back and load all the shit up as im pretty sure i saw people swimming off into the ocean carrying chests and shit fucking pirates man
Lincoln Powell
That's because you're an idiot that can't handle diverse opinions.
Isaac Bailey
>See a sloop or two fighting a galeon >my dude and i try to offer truce to help with the fort >one of the galleon pirates slip onto our ship and try to sail it out >once we get back on board, say Fuck em to all of them >fire 11 shots at the galleon twice, last show on the turn around hits a powderkeg >just see 4 pirates on their boat, clearly out of planks, accept their ultimate fate >sail out a bit and we take turns popping heads with the sniper rifles
Never trust a pirate, and never parlay when EPIC LOOT is up for grabs
I... I just wanted to turn in my two pigs for one last mission before the server shutdown... was that so much to ask?
Was it too much for just a bit of mercy with 10 minutes left on the server?
I worked for those two simple, humble pigs and you double teamed me and stole them just as I was going to turn them in.
I fed those pigs.
I rarely even do merchant missions.
I am saltier than a mermaid's tit right now.
That absolute lack of courtesy.
Kayden Torres
Actually came across a female today, she had a male character. She was very upset about us stealing her treasure chest and sailing her sloop onto shore.
Daniel Morris
(1/2) Let me tell you a story of 4 idiots who managed to do the impossible. Our story begins with a Norwegian, Danish man, Swede and an Icelander sailing a galleon.
>Starts out normally, the crew barley manages to do anything everyone is drunk on grog or has no idea what to do. >Over the next 30 minuets they learn how to work as a team, and have gathered some booty. >They see a skeleton fort has spawned >"We can totally do that, let's go!!!","Should we return in our booty first?" >"It's go big or go home", everyone agrees and we hurry to the fort. >When we arrive a blue galleon and a sloop are fighting, we ram the galleon and board. >We manage to take out the blue galleon, the sloop sank or ran away. >We start fighting the fort, manage 5 waves or so. >"The blue galleon has returned!!!", we slaughter it. >Manage to fight few more waves. >"Galleon coming from the west!!!", we are having a harder time fighting this one. >Cannonballs are running low by now. >"The blue galleon has returned!!!", now we are fighting 2 galleons. >By some miracle we manage to sink the other galleon, the blue galleon still stands strong. >We are now out of cannonballs, and few minuets later the blue galleon is also out of cannonballs. >We run around the island stealing everything we can use to sink them. >30 minutes pass where we are boarding each other, stealing every banana and or plank they have. >Every tactic is used, boarding with a bucket full of water to throw on board to try and sink it that way. >"There is another galleon waiting on the other side of the island, I'm going to steal it and ram it into the blue galleon" >Somehow he manages to do that alone, while we defend our ship. >We spawn camp them while the blue galleon slowly sinks. >The galleon we used to ram the blue galleon is now stuck next to us, we barely manage to sink it by stealing cannonballs from them. >"The blue galleon is fucking back!!!"
(2/2) >By this point we have been out of cannon balls, bananas and planks for an hour. Only using what we stole. >"I see two gunpowder barrels in the ocean" >That magnificent bastard manages to swim back and forth with one while we board the blue galleon and spawn camp them. >He explodes the barrel under the ship, and it sinks. >We manage to kill the stronghold boss, we leave one guy behind to guard the key while the rest of us destroy our galleon with the other gunpowder barrel. >By this point it looked like a Swiss cheese. >We sail back on a new galleon, even got lost on the way back there. >We empty the stronghold and carry the rest of the loot we found earlier that evening to our ship. >We get 20.000+ worth of gold after that crazy adventure.
tldr; We managed to sink 6 galleons while taking out a skeleton fort. Most of the time we where out of cannonballs.
I can't wait to sail these seas again with you bastards.
>find uncharted island, fucking sweet >huge shipwreck underneath it, multiple chunks of galleon or something bigger shorn apart and scattered across the sea floor near the island >explore the entire wreck and island >0 loot >find another uncharted island hours later >same shit >third uncharted island, once again zero loot, not even a message in a bottle
what the FUCK is even the point of these shitty islands? I'm a pirate sailing in search of plunder and fortune, not a tourist visiting a goddamn museum
See this is what's annoying, I can understand your frustration but I was island sailing an hour ago and was finding skulls, tea shipments, all sorts of shit - yet other times I just end up like you
Nicholas Foster
Anyone else been getting like 100-300 ping usually with rubber banding everywhere. It's impossible to kill other players because they teleport all over the fucking place.
Evan Brooks
It's Bluehole
Nathaniel White
either the Maintenance or your internet
Evan Williams
Oh, don't get me wrong I find the odd extra loot on the mapped islands. Even found a book once that opened a little dialog when activated and gave us a treasure map for three buried chests. But I'm talking about the UNCHARTED islands specifically. These are islands that aren't marked on the map, there's at least three of them that I've visited now. And they have cool features like these huge underwater shipwrecks, but have ZERO loot on them, at least for my friends and I.
Has anyone found any loot at all on an uncharted island? Even a powder keg to sell?
Chase Stewart
It's been going on since yesterday. Happens to me, happens to two other friend groups
Josiah Walker
>doing a skull fort >almost done maybe 2-3 more waves >Another Galleon pulls up, we ask for a parley so we don't spend 3 hours fighting and neither of us get any loot >They just silently open fire >they sink our galleon but I manage to get to the Island and hide >Friends respawn and sail back >I board the enemy galleon while they're distracted with my friends coming back and firing >friends ram them >unload cannons into them point blank >kill them as they respawn >sail around the island as they sink >they don't come back The most satisfying skull fort I've ever won. Get fucked
We really need some NPC ships around to liven the waters up. Also i jumped into the water when fighting a kraken to see its body. Nothing but darkness. Are achievements still turned off?
>npc ships imo only having players as pirates makes each encounter distinct and memorable, an npc isn't going to try to board or toss explosive barrels overboard as youre gaining on them. now new island monsters like giant crabs and luring sirens is another story.
Carter Collins
Yessss All those crab paintings and giant kraken paintings I'm seeing make me wanna see more monsters and an actual body on the Kraken. I'm hoping the Kraken skulls we see on islands all over islands hint that we're gonna see the whole thing sooner or later.
Yeah more monster variety would be nice but id like to have the option of tackling a merchant ship I stumble upon in the sea. Of course players are going to be more memorable because of the craziness but it will add to the variety that this game is lacking right now.
Jeremiah Sanchez
You might have been on my server. We did a massive voyage though, 16 chests, 20 skulls and a goblet. Got 18k from it.
Adam Brown
I know where you're talking about. They'll use them for contests and events and shit. Like pic related, found this in an underwater tunnel leading to a cave. They'll do some stupid contest where they hide a bunch of Captains Chests in here
What the fuck, you got all that from one voyage? What was your rep level for the faction?
Liam Clark
I don't know it wasn't my voyages, but we found 4 message in the bottles along the way. One of them was 6 chests on an island where we also got 3 skulls.
Anthony Cox
Oh, most of that wasn't the actual voyage objective then. Just some good luck with "exploration" loot.
Isaiah Baker
you can't summon it somewhere to kill it?
Brody Morales
Well, it was 2 voyages and some bottles, shipwrecks and random loot. But it was one run, which in my books is a voyage.
Noah Powell
Already downloaded and setup but wont be playing with friends tomorrow. Should I wait or is there some prep things I can do
