So I tried running maximum shadow generation deck with post RoB cards to see how many shadows you can expect by turn 7-8 for the ptp guy. Played around 10 games. >If you go pure shadow generation with gloaming tombs you literally have no time to drop it >if you drop it and play follower spam you barely can keep anything on board for catacomb follow ups >you need to put utility into you deck, but the more you do so, the less shadows you get overall >your removal is absolute shit without corpse/necroass, no storm, no rush outside Aisha. Troth is awkward as fuck. And all other removals currently require shadows or are too expensive. I don't see anything in DN that fixes that. >you die to storm >you die to burn After all that the most I could get is 17 shadows before dying. Most of the time you end up with 8-12, which is plenty for turn 7 Hectar but nowhere near enough for ptp effects. You will literally need to be able to play him at least twice AND survive through all of that.
for the longest time I thought corpse was wearing a gladiator helmet with a slit in the middle and some horns pic related doesn't make sense when opened but the thumbnail is how I saw his face positioned, should help make sense of the thumbnail of the undoodled pic
if it costed less shadows i definitely would've agreed but then it might've been broken maybe shadow generation will be easier with some of the stuff we got, we'll see
I feel like people are underestimating Soul Hunter. It's expensive, but it's also a solid play on turn 3, which helps a lot. The only problem is that Midrange might end up being too shadow hungry. It slots into Reanimate Shadow without a problem though.

i've actually really been thinking about this a lot and i think the key to all this shadow generation is gonna be with the burial rite effects like burial rite basically turns your follower into spartoi sergeant just imagine something simple like gloomy into stryx, that's already 4 shadows i think even mid shadow might even slot these cards in now, they cycle, add a body, and help give you shadows for the effects you need there's also other factors like that bronze 2 drop we got that'll help a lot

Because if you don't get it off, you are dead. ptp effect is literally anti synergy with your deck. There's a reason ptp shadow was never a thing outside of that meme highroll with double midnight haunt.
