The only game I'll be buying this year is DS1 remastered, and AC 6 if it comes out in the fall or winter.

why? I think FROM would actually create another "mascot" in any case, since the next game would probably attract many newfans just by their name alone, or use White Glint again.

What I really want to see now, is the aesthetics they will use this time, are they going to keep the VD industrial feel? go back to the roots? FA style? something new?

Mainly because it's been so long without a Nineball fight. Unless I'm mistaken, there were only references to him through 4th and 5th gen. And because I believe All AC games are in the same timeline and that AC6 could finally solidify the theory and make it reality.
I doubt From would bring White Glint back because of his irrelevancy (there only in mech, and not in name or in motive from 4A) in VD. Making him more relevant now seems strange to me after doing that, and it also wouldn't fit the game unless we went back to blazing fast mech action.
I'll also accept a new mascot altogether, that or just "A Raven that does Raven things".

Personally I like the 3rd gen aesthetics by far the most but if they go something new then I won't mind.
as long they retain the characteristic AC form I dont mind.
