He’s pretty easy to kill as BL4 so I’m sure you could manage as BL24, savescum of course. The gem he drops isn’t the best gem for fire conversion so I’m not sure anyone is farming him.

Try and get him from his side during the crawling phase. Ranged attacks work as well. Try lead elixer if you keep getting staggered by the fire/lava

You don't need OoS for Fire Abyssals though.
He appears as a final boss in both Ihyll and Loran so it's just to use a normal Saw for those shapes.

Sure he's easy to kill.
It just takes a while for each kill at such low-levels.
But Perfect secondary and curse is random everytime.
So farming him for specific gear would just be better with a properly leveled host that can just end him in 30 to 120 seconds. Compared to soloing him for 5 to 7 minutes in the off-chance that the gem is even remotely usable.
So if the former is an option, then i'll gladly take that. Just for the sake of efficiency.

If you want +15 fire on it, it would either need to be OoS or OoE

Not much else I can say then. The first phase is easy. Use some serrated weapons: saws, whirligig etc.
