this I can't trust pubs to hit disablers before I can and a well placed (or lucky) handgun shot can stop a party member from going down or being killed. The 2-handed hammer deals well with hordes without the help of a cc ranged weapon.
I don't know how much ff the flamethrower does but I rarely hit teammates without them walking in front of me. Plus my handgun has +1 ammo on headshots

I am enjoying the elf so far, the weapons are nice, the heal is noob friendly and leaves more potions for the rest of the team.

Flail is love. I feel like falchion is slightly better/faster at killing certain things but flail is not that far behind and it's infinitely more fun to use.

I just find it hard to believe that someone would teamkill for no reason when doing so would actively screw himself and everyone else over. Basically, whoever made that clip is probably leaving out the part where they FF'd the entire match or did something else stupid to the point where Saltz considered going against his own self-interest to get back at them.

Best weapon on Ranger Veteran? Grudge-raker feels like the only viable weapon type, and even then it's not exactly fantastic for special sniping.

Are crit builds good? I'm only level 20 on saltzy but i want to get as much crit as possible, then get hp on crits and career skill reduction on crit so i can accuse heretics as much as possible.
I like the crossbow, good for special sniping and has good penetration if the horde runs in a line

I'm a level 30 Zealot with max crit rolls on everything and the 5% crit talent. I notice my swift slaying buff procs a lot and it appears to stack with the career skill buff as well.
Swift slaying is really good which makes crit stacking really good.

Getting hit a few times is fine, it's when they don't seem to know FF exists and keep shooting through you that'll make you hate pubs. But also a lot of the whiners just walk in front of/through ranged classes constantly in situations they should expect them to be firing in.

Actually shield breaking is completely unrelated. Weapons just tend to have attacks that penetrate armor with varying degrees. The only real way to find out which attacks do penetrate armor is by hitting the armored dummy with every single attack and taking note which attacks deal damage and which don't. Contrary to what you might believe, charged attacks usually deal shitty damage as well, but certain attacks in the string (usually overheads) tend to deal a lot of damage to armor.
Chaos Warriors seem to use some unique armor that is unrelated to other armored enemies.
You can read the line about Saltzpyre taking FF at the start of it.

The few moments i have actual fun are some deeds that replaces hordes with armored/stronger enemies.
