The amount of ero in 03 was ridiculous. I went back and played it after finishing Rance X and it's crazy how much content there is, it's like every two seconds there's another H-scene and they're almost all hot as fuck.

Rance X seriously lacked in ero. I guess Alicesoft changing their slogan away from "it's eroge maker" was a prophetic statement... No, but seriously, they clearly spent a shitton of time making character portrait assets and that sucked the hell out of any resources they could use for actual CGs. It's kind of weird considering TADA has said before he wants to make eroge, not the shitty gacha games the market seems to want... So he goes ahead and makes a gacha game at the cost of ero content. It's pretty mind boggling.

He could've pulled it off if he was willing to pull a Kichikuou Rance and pour so much into it that it doesn't make any business sense anymore, but I think he's too old and wise to try something like that at the detriment of the company. Too many people's jobs at risk, too many other projects that could be hurt. It's funny, Alicesoft has outgrown Rance so much that they're incapable of taking the risks that made the series famous in the first place. In light of that, I think it really was past time to end the series.
