Encountered something I haven't been able to see if anybody else has encountered. At least from a quick search.
During one mission a mountain got completely destroyed by enemy fire and there was something shiny in the rubble that one of my pilots commented on. I wasn't able to get to it to see wtf it was before the last turn ended though.

Yup. It happens. Without spoiling too much, you just missed out on a new friend is all. Keep a look out for busted mountains and glowing ice/water tiles.

i've been dicking around with unused stuff for a few hours, and my incompetence prevents me from doing anything good
i kind of wanted to make the (limited use) beam upgradable to have +1 min damage (easy, could do it) and not hit buildings (couldn't get that to work)
or have the Atlas fist push back two squares instead of the broken +1 range (couldn't do that either)

This guy is too good for me. My average time per island is 14 minutes and even then I'm making tons of mistakes because I'm rushing. Last run died to 4th island boss.

I was pretty close to calling him out on it, but there is actually an option to increase game speed in the options. Thanks for pointing it out at least, now I can speed up my runs.
If you ignore the one sperg /gerg/ is a perfect home since the game is loaded with giant robots. It means "giant extreme robot general" made to accommodate other mech games like Hawken, Armored Core, etc. Just, please, ignore the sperg.

I was trying to get a good time with Blitz, had about 13 minutes per island and I lost all three pilots to dumb play. I made it to island 4, but then at the first mission I lost all but one of my grid, again to dumb play. Normally, one would reset the game by now but I decided to keep pushing. Had to slow down my play but i finished 2.8 more missions after that one without taking a single grid hit with no pilots. Jesus christ.

Trying to set up the "hit 4 with a single laser" on the Zenith Guard and "kill 3 with a single shot" on the Frost Titans seem like a huge pain to get.
