I'm going to be honest with you all. I have spent the past month determining who is objectively the best girl. It was a hard decision, but on nothing but her merits, I have determined that Max Caulfield is indeed the best girl. Many gave her a run for her money, but in my scientifically objective opinion. Max is the best girl. I have no skin in this game. None at all.

Yeah. I've seen some really dumb reasons people offered for her backing away, but that is the only one that makes sense. If Chloe didn't want Max to possibly kiss her then she wouldn't have dared that. She was shocked Max did it. I wish they got at least one proper kiss in the game though.
People thought that at first but it's not reliable. They've posted images from Paris, London, California, Hong Kong, and others. Same goes for those surveys SE was doing after S1. Originally it was just in Chicago but they've had them in other cities now too. If they're really far along in developing S2 then they've effectively kept everything a secret so far. Not like BtS where someone from here went onto Deck Nine's website and found a whole bunch of concept images prior to the announcement.
It is, but like I said, I wish Chloe's outfit was different. Maybe that artist will do more Pricefield at some point. I like their style.
Frank may not be a good person, but it's nice to see he could feel happy and care for someone. And that knowing what he helped in will be what gives him the motivation to become better and turn things around for himself.

They're both pretty smooth. One thing I really noticed in Farewell, and then when replaying the original, is that the both of them know how to flirt. Even if they didn't intend anything by it or realize it at the time. I don't think there'd ever be any issue with Max being romantic or knowing how to reciprocate feelings. Definitely any issue if it's with Chloe.
The only reason some people said that in the past was because they were looking at Max's quietness and awkwardness as something that was always there instead of something that developed specifically because of the grief/guilt she felt after moving away.

"The ending where Chloe lives does not feel ambiguous to me. You sacrifice everyone for Chloe, they leave together, saying they will be together. I don't know, maybe that was a mistake but to me it was clear enough, and beautiful. This kind of choice and sacrifice you do it for love, I didn't feel it was necessary to show more as the message and feeling felt powerful enough. And their smiling in the car felt enough to me to induce what will happen next. Sorry if this wasn't showed enough though. I also thought that with all the destruction and death it would not have been the right moment for a kiss. This will happen after the ending, the next days, to me this is where it is leading for sure. And this is also the point, their relation is so strong and the player connected to Chloe if he did this choice, so I didn't think anything more had to be shown, because the player knew how both characters felt. And to be honest we thought a lot about more variations in the car ending, but the production reality and budget also kicked in, so we tried our best to make it work having in mind what I told you. But for sure this ending is only the beginning for Max and Chloe, like in a good book what happens next is also in your own imagination :)"

I think because Michel said "you sacrifice everyone". Without any other details. Nobody knows what really happened in the town. There's no way every single person in Arcadia Bay died. The "sacrifice" only means you let something potentially bad happen to avert a potentially worse thing from happening. We all know the final choice is a trolley problem where there's so many more things that could have been done. But overall, Max would always choose Chloe. It's the only way she could ever live with herself and it's because Chloe deserves a chance to grow up. It's Max's power that she never asked for and to throw everything she did away and leave herself alone, scared, and miserable helps no one.
