True. The best arcs post-reboot had was when they focused on a smaller cast while not taking years to reach a conclusion on arcs, whereas the main book had a fucking 3 year saga that had no reason to go that long, with a fuck-huge cast of main characters.

JP merch is very very nice, US/INTL merch can be nice too. I think the latter merch has better collaborations while the former has nice event/incentitive and general merch.

Sonic Heroes was okay, not good. Sonic Unleashed was 25% good. Sonic and the Black Knight, while being an improvement in every possible way over Sonic and the Secret Rings, was still not a good game. It's better as a movie if anything. Sonic Colors is mediocre at best. Sonic Generations was like 40% good. The Classic Sonic levels were boring. The Modern Sonic ones were better but only a couple were truly great. But is that really 'good' though?

Mania was a rehash of reused sprites and levels with some "new" tile sets from the spriters resource put into "new" stages. If you gave a random Sonic Team employee some Rom hacking tools they could make the same game easily.

At least Forces was a game that tried to do something new with the game play and story. Mania is a game for people stuck in the past, Sonic needs to move on. Forces was a better game than Mania. Mania deserved to flop and Forces deserved it's sales. Forces is the Sonic game for the real fan base of today and not some 30 yr old man children.
