I have 14 hours and 22 timelines and only won one of them.

try playing with archemedes or abe, they can be forgiving

I have reached the final island several times, often even with (almost) full grid, but then get raped by the pylon positioning and getting swarmed by shit.
If I die before, it's always because of grid damage.

try Aegis, Charge/Unstable (with Abe) and Boulder, it should go fine

All the Squads can beat Hard Mode just fine, and there's very few genuinely awful robots in Random Select (Jet without Rocket passive is not fun)

Holy SHIT the secret squad is bad. Like irredeemably so. I have no desire to play these fucks at all. Looks like these threads are done for too, so I guess that's that.
Good game. Too short, too little replayability, no way is it ever going to match FTL, but good.

They're not. No pilots, underpowered mechs, special mech class so every weapon in the game costs an extra core. Fuck all of that.

They have the worst first island imo, but are ridiculously good afterwards. The extra cost is not felt much since your weapons are core hungry and powerful as fuck, but by fourth island you should have enough for any tank sidegrade; I had a fully equiped acid tank, shits cash on this team, which does 3 dmg at the end.

im trying not to straight up google how to get the hidden pilots. am i right that you find them by destroying mountains on islands that arent the first island of your run?

See how many achievements you can get with one win. I missed out on 3, I assume the blocking 100 vek would be almost impossible to get, also the "take no damage on a Island" achievement does not count for the final island, even though it wasnt X'd out while fighting on it

Alright so who are the best pilots?

Camila feels like she might be the best in the game at my current skill level. Bad webs are like the only time I take grid or objective damage, so having someone immune to them who can bait them out is fantastic. Potentially, this could be played around were I better at the game anyway.

Archimedes is awesome. As someone mentioned earlier, one reactor core and you can effectively block a hole every turn. I quite like him in the flame mech because he can ignite squares if he can't reach any enemies and still move towards objectives.

Silica seems good on paper but I'm usually too starved for cores to make use of his ability. I expect were I good at the game he might come out on top, but I'm not.

Harold is useful all the time, but I feel like there's always a better option. He's never ineffective though.

Honorable mention to Abe for making the ramming mech usable.
