If the damage spreadsheet says the pickaxe is so much better against armor why does it feel so shitty against rot helms?
I can quite put my finger on it, but I feel like I dispatch shit faster even a 1h hammer even though the pick should be way faster.
With a pick on I have 18% extra damage vs chaos and still feels slow as fuck compared to a hammer stacking attack and crit speed for CD reduction.
i believe chaos warriors aren't actually armored like stormvermin are. i think they might just have a flat damage reduction against everything. i'm not sure.
how do you tell if they are? are you just joining and leaving constantly looking for a tell?

Wrong, packmasters have the same armor type as bosses, chaos warriors are "fully armored" like bögvarr.
How does beam fare against Chaos Warriors? I've seen Siennas delete them with it but mine is always stopped by armor. Does the +Armored enemies property on the staff make it penetrate?
I do
but when there's 50 rats on you, it swings far too slow. The only time I would have it is for Slayer because atleast I have a fast weapon, but even then the push+attack usually instagibs elites anyway, making pickaxes obsolete.

Chaos Warriors have boss armour, which means +armored doesn't apply to them.
For chaos warriors you take out the mace (or shotgun them to stagger-lock them). If you're not using the mace on Legend then you're a retard basically.
That's what I do most of the time.

Armour category 2 is 'normal' armour like on stormvermins, category 6 is boss/super armour and +armoured doesn't apply to hit and some things that pierce category 2 don't do anything to category 6.

Only ever join games that are 3/4, more likely that someone just left/DCed, 1 or 2/4s are always just starting, or 2+ people quit because there's one guy standing and everyone else is dead
I also seem to have more luck with games that are lower down in the server browser, for whatever reason.
I like it, but only because it allows me to reset my BH ability in 1 click 9/10 times.
