Maybe try teaming up with someone, I find it helps. Obviously you can't communicate, but stick with a team mate that's got a complimentary weapon and back them up in fights, help keep the ground beneath them inked for retreats, and use them to cover your back (or at least as an early warning if you hear them get splatted).

>Main Bouncer - a slosher-type weapon with a slow rate of fire and high ink usage. It's projectiles are special, in that it hurls balls of ink that bounce around the battlefield, ricocheting off floors and walls for a few seconds before dissipating. While in the air, it drops a line of ink directly below it, and each bounce causes it to splash ink in a small radius, which can also deal damage. Hitting a target directly deals the most damage, but also causes the ball to disappear.
