A Red France

What would have happen if France became a communist state in 1871?

It neighbors would be extremely cautious.

>encourage clerks
I never realized there were people that actually did this

would've been much like the Napoleonic Wars, if France was the one to instigate the World Revolution.

Coalitions of western european nations would fight France in order to protect their respective empires from revolutionary overthrows orchestrated by the French.

Considering the French were steamrolled by Germany in the Franco-Prussian War, I doubt france would get far with such a wild card revolutionary regime. Russia barely pulled it off and only because there was the World War going on at the time to keep the rest of Europe busy.

>What would have happen if France became a communist state in 1871?
it would have collapsed like all other communist states

the prussians would have stayed for a while

[COLLAPSE]

game?

Victoria 2.

it would have gone to shit even sooner

>Paris Commune
>Communist

Shhhh let them believe what they want to

Why wasn't it, and what was it really like? Genuinely curious

Germany achieves its ambitions on the continent by 1900. The anglos snaps up French colonies, pour resources into their navy and form alliances with everyone they can, but it is not enough to stop the balance of power shifting in Germany's favor. Germany forces them into a conciliatory footing and makes them sign fair treaties that limit their perfidy. In time Germanic Kultur predominates and the anglo returns to its Saxon roots.

no world wars, no cold war, peaceful decolonization allowing rapid development in the undeveloped world, science advances rapidly, wealth brings decadence but Germanic philosophy ensures people maintain important virtues and the lessons learned from the past

It was only explicitly socialist, not communist. Plus it only lasted like 2 months to properly distinguish itself ideologically, so giving it any distinct labels is pointless.

Although if the Commune did survived, probably would be syndicalism, but that point is moot now anyway

Liquor Factory Simulator 4: Johan's Revenge

It would be economically on par with modern Ukraine.

here. Forgot to mention the Commune was also an anarchist movement and its demise created a wedge between socialists and anarchists

It kinda did for two whole months.

>and its demise created a wedge between socialists and anarchists
More like autismo Marx couldn't handle people disagreeing with him and kicked out anyone from the IWMA that made him assmad.

You are a big France.

World communism, world prosperity, world peace

>encourage clerks
Why?

Clerks can increase your science output, they increase factory productivity and they also count as middle class which means that they have higher demand for products.

>pic
Fucking children those commies/marxists are, so romanticing le w0rker r3volutionnzzzz.
I enjoy history because marx was wrong on everything he assumed

Awful, some has to be poor so theres a reason to be rich...

For you

Bump

>and they also count as middle class which means that they have higher demand for products
Except they receive the same amount of paychecks as craftsmen despite having increased needs, so in practice they almost never fulfill anything past their life needs.
Blame Paradox for multiple retarded design decisions like this and making them hardcoded at that.

You get to watch Franco Prussian War Part 2: Britain Also Invades You

Liberation of workers

Marx came up with communism after observing the commune

Everyone immedietly invades France just like 1917.

France will suffer from devastation and diplomatic isolation, thus becoming economically weak. And the capitalists around the world points their fingers at France and say, "See? Socialism doesn't work!"

This

You forgot to blame the CIA you fucking petulant child

Communist Manifesto published 1848
Communards 1871

Nope, communism predated both the Commune and Marx's career

But that's exactly how it happened to Russia you daft piece of shit

Eleven foreign nations invaded Russia during the Civil War to oust the Bolsheviks

It was a half hearted effort.

yea it is such a shame the two groups can't really reconcile

Someone post that wiki pic where the First French Republic was literally against the whole world

...

Thanks senpai

what posted

But socialism doesn't work.

It would have a really shitty flag

>A few half-arsed expeditionary forces are a multinational invasion
>Hurr it wasn't the bolsheviks fault it was those evil capitalist pigdogs, if the real world didn't exist communism would have won!!1!1!!!

Go back to r*ddit you fucking mong.

>want conquer the world
>blame the world for invaded you
I talking wiht a /pol/ack or /lefty/tard?

Destroying tyrannical governments isn't conquest

you took my idea this was gonna be my next playthrough
communist france with rhine borders

I'm uninformed on the topic, how close was France to becoming Communist?

it would be far shittier

Not much.It just happened in Paris and maybe in Marseille

I also remember hearing there was a chance they'd become communist during WWI and after WWII, is it similar? Just academics and radicals rabblerousing?

OK good so Spain didn't conquer the Aztecs.

>The bourgeoisie manipulates the lumpenpproletariat, i.e. rednecks, NEETs, etc. to support the status quo
Nah almost just like the 19th century.

>communist state
Atleast read a summary of the mainfesto, god-fucking-damn

Play Kaiserreich. It gives a very detailed description of a far-leftist Communard France that never existed.

>Anarchists, Sorelians, Labour and Jacobins all struggling for power
>Peaceful, democratic socialism? Autonomous communes? Or Red Terror?
>Fuck Germans
>Fuck the right-winger reactionaries in Algeria, them and the Boche are behind everything that is bad

>Kaiserreich
Which Hearts of Iron?

Darkest Hour.

But wasnt Communism before Marx just a hunter-gatherer society? Correct me if im wrong.

Also, in a Communard France the Voisin Plan would have been given the green light very fast. Bring down the old, up with the new.

Welcome to beautiful Paris... ...comrades.

Isn't this, my comrades, a lot better than how Paris used to be like?

Citation please.

So basically make Paris optimal, efficient, and modern.

Yeah, Im not a big fan of roman copying architecture.

And soul-crushingly depressing to look at and live in.

Please explain.

Nope the PCF ( french communist party ) used to pull out big numbers in elections after WW2 ( around 25% if i remember correctly.
Don't know about during WW1 though

Thanks, I'll have to look more into this

Not that guy, but pic rel is taking it to one extreme. Ever lived in commie-block paradise. There is something essential missing.
Same with Anglo-suburbs btw.

Five of Eights and didn't realize it.

Technically it was, the war wasn't over in 1918, it was just a truce

Wasn't Marx inspired by Epicurean communes?

Corbusier's own words about it:

>"I shall ask my readers to imagine they are walking in this new city, and have begun to acclimatize themselves to its untraditional advantages. You are under the shade of trees, vast lawns spread all round you. The air is clear and pure; there is hardly any noise. What, you cannot see where the buildings are ? Look through the charmingly diapered arabesques of branches out into the sky towards those widely-spaced crystal towers which soar higher than any pinnacle on earth. These translucent prisms that seem to float in the air without anchorage to the ground - flashing in summer sunshine, softly gleaming under grey winter skies, magically glittering at nightfall - are huge blocks of offices. Beneath each is an underground station (which gives the measure of the interval between them). Since this City has three or four times the density of our existing cities, the distances to be transversed in it (as also the resultant fatigue) are three or four times less. For only 5-10 per cent of the surface area of its business centre is built over. That is why you find yourselves walking among spacious parks remote from the busy hum of the autostrada."

This.

>Belgium conquered

Sweet console commands

So glad it didn't work. Fuck subhuman commies.

N A T U R A L

I would bring up Bakunin. Bakunin fucking hated Marx and his retarded ideas of international communism. The Paris Commune took most of its ques from Bakunin.

Notice also that the Paris Commune actually worked, unlike any Marxist state in history. If it were't for actual armed interference from outside, it could have survived. This is because Bakunin was right, Marx was a Jew.

The world would have been a better place if Le Corbusier was shot in the womb.

>Marx was a Jew
HOLY SHIT, Really? Seriously, why does that matter?
