What did you use your Humanities degree for?

What did you use your Humanities degree for?

taking a doctoral degree

/thread.

I did access to humanities which got me onto a history degree.

I dont know what il do but i'd rather be spending this time educating myself and getting a degree than the shitty wage slave jobs i was doing before.

I'll still end up a wage slave but on a higher wage on something that vaguely interests me.

Shitposting on Veeky Forums.

This, honestly.

Burger flipping.

Getting to have something interesting to use applied mathematics on.

Learning how to produce structured writings on subject that are multi-layered.

Giving me an edge on less curious hard sciences students. Not just from a planning aspect, but also in learning technical tools. Since I'm used to plowing through bullshit, I developed a strong critical sense and have an relatively easy time learning.

to win internet arguments

if you have a history degree just become an army officer with a job in intelligence

basically life on ez mode

Considering most officers don't even make it to the 10 years mark before leaving the job, and you have a 50% chance of being fired in your 40s regardless, I quite doubt it's quite as idyllic as you think it is.

History and humanities is more a hobby and free time thing.

For being a pretentious prick

not studying something that would meant actual studying like engeneering or women studies

Getting a job. Nowadays it seems like you can't even flip burgers without a fucking degree.
>inb4 stem
Fuck stem. I would have never managed to stick to the books long enough to graduate if I had to study something I didn't enjoy.

The practice of law.

I ended up becoming a naval officer at 26.

>History degree
>Currently a technical writer for a medium sized software company. 65k a year

I did pretty well with it I think

I joined the air force

I was out of toilet paper one day and it was perfect.

>History Degree
>Data analyst for the GOP
As they always say, it's not what you know it's who you know.

>I'm really good at memorizing and obeying orders from a man with a paper that tells me I must.
>I will get my own paper from paper man and work for him obediently because he has a paper.
>I'm a very intelligent man. Mummy and the man told me, and he has a paper.

Adult daycare.

I dont understand your metaphor, were you too smart for a degree?

He's a neet, prodding the masses because he's too smart to work, get educated or be trained. He's probably a fucking commie too.

I dunno. Probably off to go travel the world for as long as I can until I go absolutely broke or get shot, then I'll try to go grad school.
