But it's literally true. Jews are mixed with North Italians, Sicilians are a South Italian and Moorish mix.

Look up genetic studies about Ashkenazi Jews origins. All the peer reviewed ones acknowledge that they are mixed with North Italians.
As for Sicilians well that's pretty much common knowledge. I haven't read about genetic studies on them but I know they are quite similar to Jews on genetic maps.

I'm sorry, are you agreeing with me? Was saying how today italy's traditionally darker skinned people have been diluted over the past 1500 years or so.

Was also saying Romans, from Rome and continued up North, Tucan, alps, and such were definitely not as dark as southern Italy during time of Roman Empire. I'm also saying if anything Italy has Grown whiter.

To my knowledge, roman women already imitated etruscan women way before the fall of the empire. They dyed their hair red and used make up to look paler, as always this fashion started with the prostitutes but was quickly snatched by the high class ladies as they wanted to be prettier than the rest. This indicates that the population started to white it out way before the invaders became a serious threat, and I'm surprised nobody still has used the old excuse that the invaders were romans themselves at least in regards to citizenship. Sources fail me currently but it shouldn't be hard to find.

I still consider this viewpoint as doubtful, however, since in many surviving art pieces of the period, even after chromatic restoration we can appreciate tan people with very well defined physical features distinct from the rest of Europe.

one thing i know is that Rome picked and choose where to put its military, so we could have white Northern /central Europeans stations in tan populace areas of Italy for long amounts of time. also have Tan guys or Asian guys in Britainia or Germania

iirc there were many contemporary accounts of the Germans considering the people of what are now France, Britain, and Germany to be unusually pale. On the other hand they said nothing about the appearance of Greeks, or the people of what are now southern Spain or Tunisia. Logic follows that they'd probably look more like the latter than the former in terms of skin tone.
