1- fuck off
2- good cannot exist without evil, if everything was good all the time nobody would value it/see it as good we'd just see it as normal and "the way things are" plus free will is the greatest gift of all
3- pic related is OP
4- not history

Why did God create cockroaches? Seriously. Why create such disgusting, vile little creatures? At least Zoroastrianism has the excuse that Ahriman created all the nasty animals.

And Humanities user
Although I do wish we could limit the religion and communism threads to 1 thread each, get some more philosophy in here

>God is humanities

Balance.

>"Bone cancer in children? What's that about?"

>god is omnipotent
>cant make me do shit
what do Christians mean by this?

>if everything was good all the time nobody would value it/see it as good

He doesn't permit it.

Looking at this makes me itchy.

...

did you read my post? I said he doesn't permit evil

Why can't God be a malevolent, jealous, selfish entity?

This is the way the Jews originally envisioned Him. Just read the Old Testament.

Because we can't experience true goodness without also experiencing suffering and evil XDDDD

>what is theology
>what is philosophy

weww

And yet evil exists. So God either permits it, or he is incapable of preventing it.

Nah. Earth is the bad you compare heaven to.
Also you can see hell from heaven.

God(s) can indeed be evil you atheist cuck.

evil is good

Evil exists because of human action. God absolves this evil by offering salvation.

Why not just do that to all the evil, then?

Evil is relative tbqh famicom

Petty human morality doesn't apply to God, much like human concepts of time.

Wew that picture spooked me

Jews weren't polytheist until Moses came along and then he fucked things up.

If God is omnipotent, He can literally avoid it being physically possible.

You misspelled Allah.

>cherrypicking
include constantine's battles and all other christian conquests against pagans

If human morality doesn't apply to God, why should we listen to God on matters of morality? How can we say that God is good?

The short, non-meme answer is that evil is simply the absence of good. Thus, God did not create evil, but "evil" filled in the cracks where God did not mandate good.

The longer answer is here:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maimonides#The_problem_of_evil

The longest answer is to actually read Maimonides.

So why didn't God mandate good everywhere?

>2017
>People STILL can't understand the concept of free will

>gays existed before god

because he can beat you up
