Instead of doing nickle and dime daytrading...

instead of doing nickle and dime daytrading, why not just put $100 into literally every single coin in existence and hold for a year or two?

worst case scenario, you lose like $5k. best case scenario, you are a bajillionaire.

had you done that with stratis a year ago you'd have $10million

am i missing something? why arent you all getting super rich?

because I don't have over 100k to throw into shitcoins

its pretty easy to make $200 on a trade when youre throwing around 20k

>why arent you all getting super rich?
we are. anyone whos been in for longer than 6 months has had tenfold gains minimum

how does one buy more then one coin

coinbase only has 3 for me

(im not trolling/baiting im actually a high functioning autist who has little to no idea what he's doing

user I will give you 0.15 BTC if you will tell exactly how. Just give half for half payment and the other half for the rest.

You don't.

google is your friend

after you've bought something on coinbase, transfer it to an exchange like bittrex, they will give you an address to deposit to. after that you can buy other coins

I started with 500 and I'm at 3000 all from day trading I have my hold coins but day trading is way to much fun

1997CCDtFVBUq16E8ttg2is1gbR1akz4RA

send me .15 btc and i will answer any question you have itt for the next two hours. im not an expert but i have made over 100k in less than 6 months

opinions on eth right now?

thinking....

i sold at 240 and moved to stratis. eth will probably go sideways for a while and i see the lack of gains in the last few days as a form of correction as many other alts have been skyrocketing.

overpriced imo but the hype is real and im sure it will hit 300 eventually

I'll send .1 and you can post some generalities. OK?

ok ill try to provide real value

I'll send the rest in 15 minutes.

>sold at 240

Bullshit, nice larp fag

>overpriced imo but the hype is real

What does this even mean? When you're asking for $300 to give advice, at least TRY not to speak in generalities.

>it will hit 300 eventually

No shit, captain obvious.

i sold 100 eth between 235 and 240 and moved it to stratis at 5.2 earning about 20k.

i got in to crypto because my friend begged me to buy eth at $10, i made over 50k on eth so dont call me a fudder. i exited because i believe the opportunity cost is greater than the chance that eth will go to the moon like it has before. in one day i made more money on stratis than i would have by holding eth even if eth goes to 300 tomorrow id have still made more money.

Its not really going to keep going up as it has from Jan to May though is it.

Do you know of any cheap coins that are worth buying into right now?

how do you buy and sell with that much money? Like I imagine that's enough to cause a bit of a sell wall

do you just not give a shit and the order eventually goes through, or do you sparse out the orders?

no its not, its not possible. unless youre in the camp that believes ethereum will surpass and replace bitcoin which is possible.

Is there any special trick at bittrex to buy that big a trade?

there are so many coins right now that will net you profit. i hold about 15 and i will post them in a few minutes.

we are so early in the crypto game that you can make money on just about any coin if you hold long enough, as long as you strengthen your bullshit detecter and do not fall for memecoins, shitcoins, pumpcoins, etc

eths volume was high enough that the order was fulfilled in 30 seconds. ive only traded relatively high volume coins

>its not possible
You don't think BTC is going to just keep rising over the next 10 years? With Bitcoin/ethereum's rise, so too will altcoins.

out of curiousity, how did you handle the BTC crash last week?

I had to bag hold like a faggot even though I was pretty sure it was going to crash. Just broke even yesterday so phew

I've tried to pick up more TA and shit in the last week or so, but any indicators or anything you use? Or were you just in eth at the time and had an easy hold?

Should I take £500 from my momz and invest asap?
Im nocoiner... :(

maybe you could be more specific? i only use bittrex and ive never had any problems
eth and bitcoin will absolutely rise up and are good investments. i am 100% positive both will double and maybe quadruple given a few years. my point is that altcoins with separate niches arise every month with much higher potential for growth

I'll show you four of mine if you'll show me yours....

>there are only 50 coins in existence

When you're buying, how do you choose among the bid/asks?

>altcoins with separate niches arise every month with much higher potential for growth
I agree completely.
Do you hold your altcoins when BTC starts dipping hard? Or do you sell and rebuy cheap?

funny enough i have never bag held on btc and was at work and holding eth. i have supreme confidence in the crypto market so dips and even a crash would not phase me

the most important rule in crypto: do not panic. do not panic sell
im shocked that you actually paid, good man. its funny because ubq strat and dgb are some of my main holds

consider the following
sc
waves
ark
shift
wings

i dont use either typically unless im in a hurry. set your own prices and be confident in your analysis

Thoughts on Aragon?

I'm debating between that, Golem and Minereum.

if im confindent it will continue to drop i will short but never more than 3%. 3% is good enough of a margin when youre playing with a decent chunk of change. i used to try to swing trade with wider margins and was burned several times, barely missing my low buys before the price shot up

I am HODLing those three. And when I saw that whale who posted his coins and he had ARK I bought 800 of them.

I'll look into sc, waves, etc.

i dont know enough about those coins to make a decent comment
ark is good long hold. the devs are far above average and once it gets more attention it will rise to a few bucks at least

ill still be here for a few hours.

I have $90 to invest. In your opinion, which coin has the most long term potential? I want a fortune out of this $90

Read anything about HMQ?

Just bought 600,000 Verges because the whale had them. Here's his bittrex again.

get a job desu
what kind of strategy do you want to follow? i wouldnt advise you follow whales for the sake of them having large bags. whales are more capable of shifting markets and more able to pump and dump so they pick different coins accordingly.

if youre looking to be an active trader and follow cryptos closely every day thats fine but id suggest other coins have stronger footings as a long term investment

Which exchanges do you use? I mainly use yobit, occasionally bittrex

Here's a good question--what do you use to look at charts online? This youtuber had a bitchin' screen. BTW in the 1990's I phoned in over 1500 real money S&P 500 index futures daytrades. Turns out I would have broke even but the commissions on 1500 round turns was $30,000. I got ate up by that market.

You realize it's most likely faked to bait people right? It's pretty easy to edit the elements

High, I have around 5k going to put half into btc and split the rest on other currency. I have been reading lots of stuff how to pick coins and there are a few websites that offer advise on picking coins.
Is that an okay way to start off?

i use bittrex only currently. i used yobit to buy some xby a few months ago which id also recommend as a decent pickup.
i work 10-12 hours 25 days a month so i watch charts on blockfolio most of the time. i have a tri monitor setup at home with mostly coinmarketcap and bittrex pages. id also suggest looking in to poloniex if youre in a state/country thats eligible because ive noticed some people like those charts. commissions arent really a problem on bittrex. iirc i was paying like .5% even on trades over 5k

not to mention thats basically how they make their money, tricking people in to thinking theyre riding a pump. the thing is you never know when the dump is coming

I'm doing something like this but only $20 each coin, shoulda done more but at the time but I didn't wanna go too nuts

i spend about 4 hours a day reading about cryptos and monitoring charts and communities. do that for a few months and you will start making better choices, until then holding eth/btc is a sure thing but not optimal for growth

Can you suggest some good resources that you monitor and what to look for?
Thanks

good technology
good niche
good developers
professional website
thriving community support and confidence

this eliminates all shitcoins

then i look at the market cap ranking, trade volume, chart history to get a good feel for potential growth then compare it to other coins similarly ranked and create my own lists of how coins should valued.

i would never even consider putting money in to half of the top 100 coins so there is a lot of coins that will crash and burn then add their value to the remaining successful coins

>cap ranking, trade volume
Cap ranking I have no idea
Trade volume i assume is the amount of trades being made? If its large its good?

I am new, want to get a really good idea before i do anything

coinmarketcap .com ranks all the coins

the market cap is basically how much money is backing or invested in that currency.

a large trade volume is good for trading because it usually means the price fluctuates more and your orders can get filled faster

>thriving community support and confidence
most important

yes public opinion is important. dont forget to throw in your .02 you never know the influence you hold.

be positive

How would you quantify the community and support? Like where do I go to research the community on a coin like ARK for example?

brb 25 minutes

So i just went on to that site, you can see all the information about the coin and see its forums and community. Is that what you mean by community and support? There seems to be alot of posts on it.
Would that suggest a healthy cryptocurrency?

>i would never even consider putting money in to half of the top 100 coins so there is a lot of coins that will crash and burn then add their value to the remaining successful coins

would you mind rattling off some of the ones to avoid?

So what coins should I buy to hold for a year or more? I'm not really interested in following charts constantly day to day.

That totally depends on your preference in risk/reward.
Buy BTC and you will make gains no matter what.
Buy Ether and you will probably make mad gains.
Buy Golem to potentially get 20-50x profits.
Buy DGB to ??????? 100x? Nothing? Nobody actually knows.

*too much
