Don't bother coming in this thread if you have a fear of selling!!!
Okay now that we got that out of the way, lets all try to figure out when to sell and/or buy DGB. First up on the table to figure out, will there be a significant dip soon so that we can sell and buy back in? There has been a massive increase in price so there might be a big correction coming at maybe even down to 2500. We should try to time the top and bottom that will happen in the next few days.
Second, we need to figure out what will happen June 9th &10th. Will it continue to rise or will it fall? I think we can all run under the assumption that they won't win, as it's quite unlikely, but even aside from that, it might still continue to rise.
It is a lot of speculation. However, there does appear to be interest in this coin on a larger scale. The Citibank T4I contest is more than likely the reason. Although, we know what happens when banks start associating with cryptocurrency... See ETH.
The Digibyte website for gaming is offline at the moment, but that is only a nice cherry to DGBs goals I think. The banks and overall idea foresight is looking past something like that possibly.
DGB is also a currency, too. I think people are seeing that it is different than most alts because of this reason.
It's all good news to me at least...

Personally my insurance policy is going to be sell June 9th no matter what, then wait a day or two to see how the market reacts. Ultimately, we can't know for sure how people take the news of them losing, nor how much the speculation was placed on them winning.
Worst case it moons after June 9 and you buy back in at a 500-1k SAT loss, but sleep easy knowing you didn't risk getting doomed down to pennies.

DGB has too much going for it compared to other alt coins its size. I expect nothing but positives to come from the presentations on the 9th and 10th, a lot of Asia while obsessed with XEM and Ripple still doesn't know about this technology.
The presentations will give DGB the coverage it needs.
Buy when it dips within the next 12-24 hours, then turn your computer off and come back in a few months

Also to add, there are 1200 companies. So their chance is 1/1200. So chances are slim... I don't think it matter if they win or lose to be honest. The fact they made it this far for a coin says A LOT.
Daniel Torres
That's not how probabilities work though
Say there are 16 teams in a soccer league, the same 4 teams have made it to the semi-finals for the last 12 years - do you give each team a 1/16 chance of making it to the grand final?
I agree with your analysis that it ultimately doesn't matter whether or not DGB wins because the coverage and attention they'll get will rocket their price even if they don't win but I think even if they don't win out right the potential for deals and future development is very much there

I just bought $500 of DGB and logged out of polo for a few months at least. Hope you like continuing to slave away trading shitcoins while I shop for yachts.
David Wood
To be fair if most people just held cryptos and didn't fuck around with trading they'd be so much better off.
Good advice for a lot of things in life user, especially stocks where transaction costs are so much higher than cryptos
I hope you get yourself a comfy yacht

I see people trading stocks all the time and acting so proud when they make their little 10% gain, when in reality if they just picked a decent blue chip or even the S&P 500 they would be much better off. Crypto is basically the same but with a much better chance of making insane returns.
Nathaniel Moore
I meant 1500
It's actually out of 73 companies.
The question is though, will that extra coverage translate into a price increase on the 9th and 10th? It doesn't matter much if it's a long run thing.
Why don't you guys understand? Holding 500 in this is not going to get you at yatch. Even if it gets up to a dollar you only have 10,000 dollars. If you want to talk about yatchs or lambos you need to COMPOUND your money. It's near worthless if you don't. Unless you use that 500 to buy the highs and lows, you're not getting any yatch or lambo or anything. The only people that can do that are people who are already richfags. YOU ARENT GETTING A YATCH WITH JUST HOLDING YOU NEED TO COMPOUND.
Oh whatever, you won't understand anyway, after all, you weren't able to understand the subject and OP post text, which I made sure to put so I wouldn't have to explain simple things like the big different between principal interest and compounding interest.
Juan Garcia
>Need to compound.
But I bought $1,500 when it was 115.
If it reaches $1 I'll have $650,000.
No reason for those people like myself to swing trade. In fact, greed will most likely just fuck you up.

i know how to make the price soar to a new ATH.
i, personally, just need to sell off all my DGB and break even right now. every time i've done it so far the price has skyrocketed. i'm just fucking cursed. about to fucking do it because i don't care to lose money on this shit.
Anthony Ortiz
Go for it brother

This. Day trading is just as degenerate as gambling at a casino.

Whatever it takes!

I feel like people are massively overhyping the importance of the Citi competition. There are a ton of companies competing, and the prizes are pretty unimpressive (college competition tier shit) in the grand scheme of things. I mean, keep in mind it's not like if you win this contest Citi (or anyone) is obligated to make any type of deal with Digibyte. The only thing the winner gets is a cash prize and maybe the opportunity to present in front of random people from various companies. That's pretty cool, but it's hardly something which is going to rocket DGB to the top of the crypto world by itself.
Total newfag here. How do I buy DGB? Do i need to trade bitcoin for it or can I just buy it with USD? I'm thinking of putting down $50 to dip my toes in.
David Butler
Lucky you

DGB is relatively unknown in Asia though, the coverage alone I feel would warrant a substantial increase in price if their presentations go well on the 9th and 10th.
