I can't seem to find a way to remove bitcoin from holdings and transfer these into some altcoin I bought. For example, when I add a transaction that I bought an altcoin in adds to my total without removing the required bitcoin amount from my blockfolio.
Am I retarded? Please help.
Blockfolio
just edit your bitcoin holdings to the new total ya dingus
Oh, fuck me I can't believe I'm this braindead.
Ty user.
Wish this app properly added and subtracted bitcoin when you make trades.
if you're feeling generous

surprised that this wasn't a default feature tbqh
no, just autistic. just count all your coints and edit totals
Is there an easy way to just enter my holdings without all the other shit? I don't care what I bought at (most of it I can't remember anyways and I mine), I just want to know my totals and how much its currently worth
I might actually write down your address and remember you when I'm actually making money in a couple of weeks. I just made my first $1k investment today.
It's not that bad once you get used to it.
what do you mean? it's easy as pie. you don't need to remember the bids. you literally just choose the exchange you bought it from and input how much of it you bought. the app does most of the work i am a bit confused here
>I might actually write down your address and remember you
please do, we are all on the same rocketship
Remember to type in the full numbers too. I was rounding down like I saw in my wallet overview in coin base. Wondered where my cash was as it was lower. Those 0.000234574747 or whatever add up.
I bought some of my bitcoins like 5 years ago and own lots of shit I've mined over the years
I have no idea what I bought them at, it was like $9 and I don't really care. I just want to enter my total owned bitcoins in the app.
Don't worry OP, I was wondering the same thing. Really wish this was a feature.
Just type the amount in the if you don't remember the amount you bought.
It won't show how much your up by because it will be starting at 2900 or whatever. But it will keep track of your gains from then on.
Thank you all for clearing it up, updating my portfolio right now.
don't forget it's 8 zeros, i actually was a sat off in my input and that made it seem like i had less money than i really did. i check out my bittrex today and see i had an entire decimal point (sat) more of btc and that brought up my total bigly
Thanks for the heads up user. Since all of my investments are quite recent I literally know by heart where I am standing so everything seems to fall in line for now.
Write the Blockfolio guys to get the balance thing added to the next update

I guess if enough people spam them with the same request they will do it. It's been more than a month since the last update.

Here's my portfolio so far. Anyone have any good suggestions for investing the remainder of my btc?
I was thinking either XVG, WINGS or WAVES.
It seems a bit too trivial to be left out in the initial launch. I guess there is some concrete reasoning behind it.
i'm gonna meme you and say first blood or dgb. Both are gaming related and tapping into the ancient korean autism and gambling addiction
yeah, when I started using it I was weirded out not seeing my bitcoins balance changing and later on the same when I was using BTC/USD and not seeing my USD balance change either. Everyone using it right now should at least request that.
The app has a great list of coins/exchanges and it would be also killer to also have the fees added to every buy and sell order you input into it.
To be quite honest with you I was actually planning to do that. I'm pretty sure that DGB has a good chance of reaching ~2.5k sat by tommorow/after tommorow but there is some inner voice telling me not to go berserk on a coin with such a shady increase in such a short amount of time. And as you can see I'm already quite a few bucks deep in it (for my initial investment).
I agree, but also a simple hold update of BTC didn't take much time either. Still, there should be some heads up for new users. (Didn't read the manual desu so I might be wrong)
worry not, I believe that everyone thought the same when we started using it. That's why most thread about this same issue (they pop up more often than not) has more people actually helping or discussing the thing than people calling OP a faggot.
I was ready to get bombarded by straight on hate for my stupidity but it turned out better than expected. I just want to make it goyerino.
>I just want to make it goyerino.
don't we all man, don't we all. but we are gonna make it user
Blockfolio really sucks, the more you use it, the more you realize how many useful features that really should be in it are not.
The thing OP described is the main one though, it's fucking stupid. The only thing is it's not unusable and (sorta) does it's job kinda well enough, and there doesn't seem to be anything else so everyone just uses this.
>doesn't automatically transfer altcoin to bitcoin when you sell
>doesn't show volume on charts
>holdings doesn't show you you total percentage gain or loss for a coin
>holdings doesn't show you loss or gain on a trade
>holdings no way to separate trades, if you traded a coin like 4 months ago, and then traded it again today the profit and loss from long ago is factored in now ( this wouldn't be much of a problem with the previous point)
>counts money added to the account in the overall gain on the overall gain chart
>doesn't factor in fees
Some are cosmetic, though I think very helpful, others like factoring in fees affect the price and should definitely be in, especially since they make you choose what exchange you're using anyway. And the total percent gain is a big one.
Do you think the developers are aware of these issues? If not, have you heard of any new crypto ledgers being developed or already existing?
>>counts money added to the account in the overall gain on the overall gain chart
this bothers me so much
>doesn't show volume on charts
it does, not well enough, but it does. You can see the bars at the bottom. Hard to see, squint.
Pretty much everything else you listed seems the thing I would also like it to have.
As I said before, everyone should be contacting the support email and asking for these things.
