They become friends because even though now she is a devote Catholic she talks to her ex-God (yes they stayed friends, can you believe that?), whereas Flying Mint Bunny, Captain Hook and the Lady of the Lake hate her guts and are not afraid to tell England that to his face and her’s! "

Because you can no longer so easily dismiss the creator as some autistic cringey teenager (the art is actually fairly attractive in that case), which is great fun to do with terrible art on the internet, as years of Veeky Forums and internet culture instruct us.

Yet you still find the juxtaposition (of furries with whatever historically revised setting) to be laughable and disgusting. And since as you've admitted, you don't find the art to be the jarring part, you are forced to entertain the possibility that a a reasonable adult with artistic skill, who isn't a total autist, might wish to mash up furries and some period in history. And by definition, that isn't possible, or shouldn't be possible, according to your view, which is a common-sensical one and will find easy defense here.

Basically according to you it shouldn't ever be possible to "get it right", since we are all weaned on terrible/confusing/autistic furry/anime art. And yet, there's plenty of historical precedent for man/animal hybrids in art, as we all know.
