Claims that because of the lack of prussian blue staining, ergo, there was no Zyklon B at Auschwitz, ergo no gassings. The only "support" for this claim stems from Leuchter's extremely amateur investigation of the camp, which is discredited. OTHER investigations, such as the one the Forensic Institute of Cracow did in 1994, did in fact find evidence of Hydrogen Cyanide, the active ingredient in Zyklon B.

You mean death rate of German PoW taken by Soviets? Consider this that they spend 5-10 years in work camps in country that was devastated by war and in conditions similar to other political or even criminal prisoners. Also Soviets probably execute German military personnel recruited from occupied/liberated USSR territory as traitors. So Baltic Germans, Baltic, Ukies and others who join Germans get heavier end of the stick and weren't treated as enemy PoWs(but worse). Also for a brief moments when Soviets archives were open it was confirmed that Soviets data more than less was actually true. On the other hand I am really interesting in "Other Losses" which count German military personnel taken by USA after capitulation whose USA didn't label as PoWs and supposedly starved upon open sky like Germans did to Soviets.

West German sources can be suspect for those claims, as they believed far more prisoners had been taken by the Soviets than the Soviets actually took. I'd have to dig around my sources for real numbers, but in the final year of the war as the country began to break down, the German war machine began to have a hard time keeping track of its soldiers. You had overreporting of everything from numbers of men available in units to numbers of civilians pressed into service. With these being the only real records West Germany had after the war, they were convinced for quite a while that the Soviets were keeping many POWs in work camps well after they were all supposedly returned in 1955.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but Soviet sources might actually be more reliable in this instance.

They were not obliged by any treaty to treat Russian prisoners well (and Germans being taken prisoner by Russians didn't have a great life ahead of them either), and when short on resources due to being blockaded and bombed, it shouldn't be surprising that the well-being of POWs isn't the first concern. Also, how well Russians were treated also depended heavily on who took them prisoner. e.g. a Russian pilot being taken prisoner by the Luftwaffe would have a significantly better life than an infantryman.
