If they had, eastern Europe wouldn't have had to suffer through communism and all the massacres and purges that came about with it, which caused 10x the proclaimed death toll of the Nazis except it was real. Sure some Jews would have died or been deported to Madagascar, but they were the ones propagating communism in those countries to begin with. I would have much rather seen them defeated then than see them doing what they're doing to the West now.
