People spend real money on reddit gold. I feel as though they'd spend money on something that conceivably has value.
It serves as social proof and the fees are much lower. As long as other coins have value someone will always be on the opposing end of the Reddcoin to btc trade, in that way RDD will surve as a fiat currency in the new age which is a really really good thing.

That's the beauty of reddcoin, a website doesn't need to implement it. Users can tip each other with reddcoin and it only takes a few to do so for it to build traction.
