Would the world be a better place if Carthage won the Punic wars?

stop shilling your video

Almost impossible to determine, especially since "Germany wins WW1" itself can have an enormous variance of different outcomes. An alternate history where something akin to the Schlieffen plan works and knocks France out in October will be very, very different than a war in which there's perennial stalemate on the Western Front, but the Germans manage to win in the East and keep hold of their gains there.

The longer the war drags on, the more men and money fed into muddy graves, the less it matters who wins and the more the general collapse of then extant European power structures happens, and the less distinguishable either side's victory becomes.

absolutely, tradition would have survived, people would remain much more conservative. World War 2 or the rise of Hitler would never occur. Basically losing World War 1 has entered the world is a dystonian future that we now cannot undo.

Learn how the poster counter works.

Nope
But it definitly would be if Germany hadnt started it

Yes.

Not that guy, but what he wrote makes perfect sense.

Leviathan was a gr8 book

global rule 6

if you have a point to make then make it

Yes

depends on what they do with France. anything is better than having to go through ww2

Yes, it would have been far better.

Probably would result in some kind of an evil twin of the EU already in the 1920s with Germany at the head of it.

Also, the Middle East would not have been carved up like a cake with straight borders and artificial countries.

Yes. In our timeline, the colonies Germans possessed prior to World War 1 was given independence. If Germans would have won, the colonies that belonged to Britain would have been given independence.

There would be no treaty of Versailles, thus no Hitler coming to power.

Just a piece of paper bro xD

Doubtful, France would most likely have their fudge packed at the peace conferences, and French Hitler would have his own chimpout.

this.

Yes user the political environment that led people to fight in a pointless war killing millions is much better than the society that has created general peace for most of the world in the past 70 years

Depends on when they win and what changes to enable their victory.

Shit video. Britain would have found another reason to wage war against Germany if Belgian neutrality had been kept. Belgium is just a cheap excuse to keep the "we're the good guys" charade.

The fact that this guy keeps calling the treaty of Brest-Litovsk the treaty of Brest-Livosk triggers me so much. He does it multiple times across both videos. And the fact that he keeps repeating it tells me he doesn't know very much about this whole era of history (something which this treaty is a defining point of).

>French Hitler
"Nous devons nous approprier les champs de blés rhénaniens pour nous assurer la survie de nos baguettes!"

Probably would have been a Corsican again.

Britain didn't want war they only had a tiny army at the time and were only prepared for naval combat. Britain out of all nations in both world wars were the good guys.

"good guys" this fag doesn't know shit

>what is the Sykes-Picot Agreement

Brittain in both wars declared war on behalf of another nation being invaded, no matter how you slice it they were not being aggressive.
If you think Brittain is evil for fighting against a war monger on behalf of smaller nations, you need to reevaluate how you define good and evil.

That is such a dramatic event that any deviation from what actually happened would make what we know of the world today unrecognizable.

It's impossible to say what would really have happened. There is simply too many variables, you can go on "what ifs" all day. It's fun to speculate and make stories and settings out of, but as serious discussion such things are pointless.
