The last time Veeky Forums was panicking over "the crash" a few weeks ago, I went climbing for the weekend and decided to not care, since it is all toy money anyways.
When I got home and checked my portfolio, I still made about 3% over the weekend.
This will probably play out similar. And if not - I'm not that stupid that I put any money that I depend on into virtual tokens that - while having many benefits and possible future uses - still lack any and all real world use besides drugs and speculation.
If I loose half my "money" in crypto, I'm still up a few times my initial investment, so whatever.

Altcoins are typically based on the value of bitcoin so they in turn went down as well.

Ethereum seems to be standing on its own somewhat separate from Bitcoin so its story is a bit different since it's gone down only slightly in the very short term due to hitting nearly $400 and people wanting to cash out similarly on it, yet it's bouncing right back up.

The point of the chart is that you could have made tons of money even if you bought at any of the ATHs, so it really doesn't matter when you buy you'll still make money
unless you're a fucking nocoiner

This chart is retarded.

Look at how long some of those dips took to correct. When you buy at an ATH you are bound to get caught up in a correction, which means you will have capital tied up in a crypto of temporarily decreasing value PLUS reduced liquidity as you won't be willing to withdraw until you are at least even with the previous ATH.

No matter if in one week, two weeks, or three weeks you get back to that ATH, it's a poor investment strategy.

Someone who withheld buying an ATH could get in during a dip, for instance, and profit more. Or they could use their liquidity to go on and purchase other altcoins to boom and earn them money whilst the other one is correcting.
