if anything the Roman civilization is underrated

if we will discuss overrated civilizations we should start with Great Britain

As a Romaboo this makes me very angry. kys.

A signal city taking over the entire Mediterranean world. Bitch think before you post.

>Byzantine included

Fucking kys

I didn’t make the gif man.
It’s just the best example I could find.

Japan desu, and I'm a weeb

Greeks

Bunch of petty city states who started on civilizational easy mode/Centre of the World (East Med.)

Wear a single cloth but claim 'muh togas' - minimalists

Sophists (liars) and Autists (Socratic-Platonic rich-but-bored-"thinking, man" wankery)

Politics

>kill some stupid jewish hippy
>the romans are overrated because of this.

nice try chink

>civilizational easy mode
Not with the Persians to their east it wasn't

Reminder that Achaemenid Empire > Roman Empire

> What is the most overrated civilization?
The Western one.

fuck off Byzantines are romans

Well...It's OBVIOUSLY Japan, pic related. But if we're not counting that, I guess either Zulus, Australians or Viking era Scandinavians.

>Free their own slaves
>Care about humanity
>Force other countries not to murder their own women or minorities
>Absolutely dominate in every way the last 500 years
>China effectively enslaves it's own people in an attempt to selfishly catch up and dominate the world and still fails
>India still poo in loo, also pretty much enslaves it's own people
>Middle East still a backwards hell hole
>Russia is what it is
>Muh eastern civilization

t. retard

Romans are not overrated.

They are quite unique in the sense that they actually civilized a good portion of Europe from a forest-swamp dominated tribal cesspool.

The vast majority of other pre-colonial Empires merely conquered other civilized areas or even more civilized areas to exploit.

The Romans literally built entire civilized regions out of tribal societies.

Not to mention that Pax Romana actually was a thing unlike the other Pax-es.

This, they're taken for granted and passively treated like literally hitler.

Mah nigga

>Australians

what?

you heard me

>people ACTUALLY believe this

Then refute it with valid points so we can engage the actual purpose of this board motherfucker.

>A signal city taking over the entire Mediterranean world. Bitch think before
This

It has to be first made with valid points so that it can be taken seriously and refuted, dumbass.

Fair enough, I want to see more debates like this but I don't know enough about either viewpoint to contribute.

>Is it because they killed Jesus?

1 Thessalonians 2:14-15

For you, brothers, became imitators of the churches of God in Judea that are in Christ Jesus. You suffered from your own countrymen the very things they suffered FROM THE JEWS WHO KILLED BOTH LORD JESUS and their own prophets, and drove us out as well. They are displeasing to God and hostile to all men,

KILL THE JEWS

>What is the most overrated civilization
united states

>Is it because they killed Jesus
no, they just keep losing wars and will elect actual retards

Egypt

Everything post golden age sparta

Seriously. Persian money ruined them.

>youtube.com/watch?v=9foi342LXQE

>Eastern Mediterranean
>Center of the world in any point of history

Choose one user, I'm saying this as a Palestinian myself

The Western Roman empire is overrated but the Byzantines are underrated.

Correct

All the real empires were around Mesopotamia, Rome blobbed before reaching any real threats (other then Carthage). By the time they reached the Successor Kingdoms the kingdoms were a shadow of what they were just after Alexander.

>seeing carthage taken

Golden Age Sparta is overrated too.

Egypt
>"ohh we killed thousands of people to build a bunch of big ass tombs"
>*gets repeatedly conquered since 1650 BC even by black people*
