The polish were known to use Calvary against Motorized divisions,
it's very possible that they would've also charged Mechanized ones too.

I know its bait, but if you read the autobiography of one of the men involved in the charge, it reveals that the Cavalry unit charged advancing German infantry to cover an orderly Polish Inf retreat.
The Germans broke more easily than expected, and eager to push the advantage, the Cavalry pursued, running into German armoured cars which returned fire. The Cavalry then disengaged and retreated.
So yes, it technically happened, but only against armoured cars and not tanks. The story was inflated by all sides to emphasis either courage, foolhardiness or stupidity.

Furthermore, per unit, the Germans effected more cavalry charges than the Polish did in the opening of the War.

Considering the Polish had roughly 6 times the cavalry, that's not saying much.
