you people seem to forget that napoleon beat all the major powers and losing after the fact doesn't negate the fact that France won the first war and forced unfavorable terms on everyone. There's a reason they're called the "War of the first coalition/second coalition" etc because they were separate wars, there's no denying britain lost the first, though I'm sure british people will argue otherwise and in the same vein make the same argument that the US lost in Vietnam despite the fact that britain was in much worse shape than the US was after the war, losing all of their mainland allies.
