What went so wrong?

How did the Qing and the communists completely fuck up humanity's greatest civilization?

China had continuously maintained magnificent history and culture until the 18th-19th centuries.

They had always been the greatest at art, architecture, music, dance, festivals, warfare, trade, economy, religion, science, philosophy, everything, but as soon as the Qing took over, China was doomed to follow a path of absolute misery.

Today, the Chinese people are no longer known for being wise, hard working, skilled. They are known for being disgusting, souless, inhumane. Today, China is not know for any of its former glory. It is known for its poverty and in many cases it is considered to be the hell on Earth.

It is as though the China of today has absolutely nothing to do with the old China, nothing, even though it's obvious something happened along the way.

The question is, what happened?

Also Chinese history thread I guess.

Communism
And it's no hell on earth, my friend. You should have seen it 30 years ago. China is considerably richer now than it would have been under democracy. You only need to look at India to see how that one would've played out.

>humanity's greatest civilization

The Soos and the Emperor Hank almost wrecked China. Saved by Chairman Mao

All that stuff you just mentioned? The culture, art, history, etc?

There was a span of time where all of that was deliberately buried and destroyed: the Cultural Revolution. China, after a century of being destroyed by outsiders, turned inward and destroyed themselves. What you see today is a walking corpse, a shell of what was once a great empire led by a bold and industrious people.

This is the end result of destroying history. You destroy your connection to your ancestors, so you destroy the community, and you destroy collective responsibility. In their fanatic stride towards collectivism, the Chinese ironically destroyed any sense of community they could find. In their fervent rush to preserve their national identity, they ended up killing their culture, turning it into something paraded around in museums, but never living, growing, or spreading at all.

China is the result of grievous human error. They thought they could save themselves, but they went about it the wrong way, and instead they destroyed everything they sought to preserve.

>complains about the Qing Dynasty
>posts a Qing Dynasty map for the OP image

Have a Ming on the house.

>It is known for its poverty
Tell that to the tens of millions of fuerdai coming to the west to buy up shorefront properties while attending universities in their $1M disposable luxury cars.

>China is considerably richer now than it would have been under democracy.

Just because there's the presence of a middle class in China now doesn't mean it wouldn't have been larger if the communists hadn't try to "fix" things with their economic campaigns like the Great Leap Forward, the Four Pests Campaign, and the Down to the Countryside Movement. All Deng Xiaoping did was make money from outside the country go to a small percentage of rural hicks.

Comparing anything to India is laughable considering almost everyone there is equally shit.

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

What do anti race mixing people like that Japanese gentleman think of raced mixed people on an individual level? Do they consider race mixed individuals to be "inhumane"? Do mixed raced individuals deserve human rights? Do the people who follow the same school of thought as that gentleman have low expectations on mixed race individuals by default?

>His son Hong Taiji renamed the dynasty Great Qing in 1636.[6] There are competing explanations on the meaning of Qīng (lit. "clear" or "pure"). The name may have been selected in reaction to the name of the Ming dynasty (明), which consists of the Chinese characters for "sun" (日) and "moon" (月), both associated with the fire element of the Chinese zodiacal system. The character Qīng (清) is composed of "water" (氵) and "azure" (青), both associated with the water element. This association would justify the Qing conquest as defeat of fire by water. The water imagery of the new name may also have had Buddhist overtones of perspicacity and enlightenment and connections with the Bodhisattva Manjusri.[7] The Manchu name daicing, which sounds like a phonetic rendering of Dà Qīng or Dai Ching, may in fact have been derived from a Mongolian word that means "warrior". Daicing gurun may therefore have meant "warrior state", a pun that was only intelligible to Manchu and Mongol people.

Water beats Fire

not if you put the water in a pot, then the fire will boil it into nothing.

See the chart, that's merely an insult. The water will turn to steam, and ascend into the air. When it hits the dew point it will again become water. It will then rain down quenching the fire.

> Tell that to the tens of millions of fuerdai coming to the west to buy up shorefront properties while attending universities in their $1M disposable luxury cars.

By that you mean thousands, and by milion dollar luxury cars you mean a solid apartment/house and a neat salary of an upper middle class.

and that is out of a billion who aren't rich enough to buy by broken boiler.
