Imagine if Stalin had listened, Germany invades Poland, does the bulk of the fighting, and then straight outta nowhere the Red Army comes in, the German forces are instructed to not engage the Soviets, and to fall back. The confusion, the rapid loss of land, the inability to properly form up a line in what was essentially foreign country without proper maps or railway coverage.
