Seven Years War

Are there any good books on the Seven Years War that's not centered on the American theater?

the war was mostly fought in America, the european theater was a sideshow noone cares about

> the war was mostly fought in America, the european theater was a sideshow noone cares about
Are you retarded?

Fuck, I know this is bait but I'm triggered just thinking about the people who would think this is true.

>the war was mostly fought in America, the european theater was a sideshow noone cares about

Hans why are you so mad?

Braddocks defeat is a goodd book describing the politics leading up to the Battle of the mongehela. Can be dragging in some places but it's a good pick up.

About to start reading The French and Indian War: Deciding the Fate of North America by Walter R. Borneman.
Looks promising.

If you want something more Veeky Forums there is The last of the Mohicans.

>posts an incorrect statement
>LOL U MAD

India too dud

any book on this guy.

WRONG
The war was mostly fought in Europe by Prussia alone against Russia, Austria and France

It's just that cowardly Britbongs, seeing that France was busy in Europe, decided (instead of helping their Prussian allies in Europe) to outnumber the French 4 to 1 in North America to steal their colonies
It took them a whole decade (despite the crushing numerical advantage), but they eventually succeeded
Meanwhile, Prussia being alone against all failed to accomplish anything despite their incredible qualitative superiority, and the war in Europe ended up in a Statut Quo
That's why the North America theater is better remember (that and because America is the current cultural superpower)

Pretty fucked up how Prussia, which was able to rise in power after the war of austrian succession with the crucial help of France, goes against them 10 years afterwards.

US u owe us!!! xd

>Prussia being alone against all failed to accomplish anything
They accomplished exactly what they wanted the whole war.

>most of the battles of the war fought in america
>the only two relevant countries fighting it out in a giant clash over North America, radically entering the balance of power and making the British Empire an empire not just in name
>HEY GUIZ WHY IS NOONE CARING ABOUT MY SIDESHOW IN SILESIA
You krauts are retarded

Dude, the entire North American theater consisted in 42,000 bongs and 10,000 frogs skirmishing against each other for a decade

Meanwhile, the Battle of Torgau (and most single day battles on the European theater) had more troops on each sides than there were in the entire North American theater

so no books then?

Britain did fight on the continent retard, they were just busy supporting Portugal against Spain.

You need to understand Britain had a very small land army due to most wealth being invested into the navy.

Some points to make:
>the only two relevant countries
Implying HRE and Russia are not at all important
>giant clash
Oh I get it now, it's bait, especially dumb bait that is
>SILESIA
That's a strange way of pronouncing "a good chunk of the HRE"

Also, fuck you, Prussia lost 180.000 military and 320.000 civilian (which makes for about half the absolute losses of the war) closely followed by Austria with 300.000 overall. I dare you to disrespect those.

The French went bankrupt almost every time they engaged in a global conflict with Britain. Britain could sustain a long war because of its monetary system, which allowed it to borrow money and add to the national debt.

>Successfully provokes an Europe vs. USA flame war
>Still asks the original question

No, don't know of any books either.
