It's really sad to watch them squirm in trying to claim Napoleon was defending the revolution.

>Tfw no 10/10 cutie in a Phrygian cap to behead royals with.
Why even live?

Stay mad faggot.

Why would I be mad at an event that took place over 200 years ago i have no ties with?

As a French leftist, my sympathies lie with the jacobins and I see Nappy as the tyrant he was, and as the destroyer of the revolution.
But actually the monarch then was democratically elected. The French voted to make him consul for life by a 99% majority.

>stay wiht jacobins and lose everything
>or choose a monarch will fix everything

You live in a world where feudalism is long gone and socialism exists
So you have ties with the French Revolution, like everyone else on this planet

Fuck the Jacobin. They were and are still cancer. They killed Mme Roland and good guys.
I despise them.

It started again with Napoleon's nephew in 1848

This kills the Republic

Marine pls

Come on you know its true.

Or maybe the UE will be the pinnacle of the Revolution.

What is the point of having a revolution against monarchism and then install a regime which the monarchists have desired for centuries?

French republican centralism is exactly what Philip II, Louis XI and Louis XIV had desired, but couldn't do because they were still held back by ancient traditions which also sustained their power.

The revolution was a confused affair. There was no plan that was followed, everyone improvised according to their own conflicting ideas. At first it was not against the monarchy. Then Louis made some mistakes and lost his head.
Then revolutionaries killed and tired each other out and napoleon, supported by the bourgeois and the peasants, could take over.

>Then Louis made some mistakes and lost his head
That is a very nice way of saying treason. But you are right in saying there a lack of coherency as two major factions of Jacobins and Girodins were pushing France in different direction. Plus the war really screwed with everyone

>treason

lmao

>treason
>the monarch
Full retard.

>monarch is above the law in a constitutional monarchy
wew lads

>Papa Smurf is a French girl
I knew it!

Heard y'all were talking bout killing monarchs

Well his main mistake was getting caught.

Because as
points out, treason is not a crime for monarchs, it's an occupation.
"On ne peut pas régner innocemment. Tout roi est un rebelle et un usurpateur."

Yea I understand in a normal monarchy, the king is the law but the whole goddamn point of the reforms of Ancient Regime was to make a constitutional monarchy, which makes the monarchy lower than the constitution

first post best post

His actions were trying to save France from the traitorous rebellion.
