From a pure mathematical basis chart analysis is useless. Charts can be analysed because they follow human behavioural patterns which tend to be statistically predictable within given tolerances. Obviously there is always an element of unpredictability and intrinsic analysis alone is like reading every 5th page of a book and trying to understand the story.
