But Caucasoid race has been debunked as a coherent ancestral group.

It's largely a fusion of two very distinct groups, one of which was more closely related to Asians(called West Eurasian) and the other broadly related to all Eurasian populations(Basal Eurasian) but closely to none since it was the first to split off after the out of Africa event.

All modern day "Caucasoid" populations have a mixture of West Eurasian and Basal Eurasian DNA. Europeans less Basal, Middle Easterners more Basal.

People who are geographically closer without any physical barriers will be closer to each other than people completely far away, even if these people have different skull shapes. Hence I have no problem stating East and Northern Europeans are close to each other
