An overdependence on trade to supply urban populations, followed by a decline in trade.

That or Germans.

The people whom were the most successful became descendant and soft as which every empire

sea peoples

How come Germans seem to be the bad guys of every single war in Europe?

they were created by god to punish the Euros every time they get too proud

>Rome become hedonistic and lazy
>send Germans

>Christiandom makes a mockery of your church
>send Germans

>Euros declare themselves the rulers of the world
>send Germans

>Euros still haven't learned their imperialist lesson
>send more Germans

really makes you think

We don't know. The best evidence is that a lot of things happened all at once. There were earthquakes, droughts, internal revolts that disrupted the regional trade network. Since all the nations were so interdependent on each other, disruptions in the trade network hurt them more than they would have if they were more independent. Also without that trade network these large urban centers couldn't be sustained very well.

The scattering at Babel.

Watched an interesting lecture where a professor suggested it was primarily climate causing massive droughts, which in turn caused migratory pressures/wars/civil unrest.

Considering that most of history and artifacts from that era are from the top 1%, it's fair to guess the wealthy elite got their shit pushed in pretty good and the surviving population had to reestablish order.

>Since all the nations were so interdependent on each other, disruptions in the trade network hurt them more than they would have if they were more independent.

Sounds like one of the only things that could cause a collapse of the modern world.

>Veeky Forums unironically thinks Germans were capable of the bronze age collapse

This place is more retarded than /pol/ sometimes.

It was a multiethnic, Balkan and Mediterranean European chimpout with some Indo-Iranian and Caucasus people providing some backup.

(((Sea peoples)))

Indeed.

It's a well known fact Jews were originally European Sea People. That's why they are so different from the Semites.

It all started with a little ice age. Basically all dark ages are precipitated by small ice.

the Mycenes got fucked by the more racially pure Dorians

but cukipedia dates the bond event to 800 BC when it should be 1200-1100 BC

the Jews

What could have caused them to all suddenly chimpout after centuries of docility?

natural disasters and droughts could collapse economies and push people to desperation.

An event that forced them to migrate

Funnily enough, one of the only groups we can actually identify as originating from the sea peoples are the Philistines - historically and biblically the enemies of the Israelites.

A bunch of sea Mongols showed up and destroyed everything.

Another theory is that through a combination of technological (iron) and tactical (proto-hoplites) developments, infantry figured out how to BTFO chariots, undermining the military superiority of Near Eastern states.

They tried out a libertarian economy.

Their tin connections ran dry immediately because everybody kept stealing everybody elses' olive oil, because shipments were now based on producer rather than the region centered around a palace.

Then came the first Great Olive War. Olive producers paid Dorian and Asian mercenaries to rape and pillage the land and cities of other producers.

Grain farmers fell next. The Asians taught them how to mine and work iron.
Truly an evil fruit.
