Spending more than $40/mo on food in the first world

>spending more than $40/mo on food in the first world
You're an absolute financial brainlet if it costs you more.
Pic related; it's where the actual discounts are had. There's $50 of reclaimable foodstuffs in each of my reclamation silos. An individual silo can be filled in under 10 minutes behind any grocery, on any day. (weekends being the best)

Post your record hauls and tips.

Nigga, you eating garbage

>Veeky Forums thread about eating garbage

The usual diet of a typical cryptocurrency "investor"

>eat garbage biz
>save $100 a month
>$1200 a year
>get hepatitis

>reclamation silo
HOLY SHIT HAHAHHAHAA

Thanks OP I needed that laugh.

...

>not going getting free food at the food bank because you have an empty (((bank account))) and make minimum wage on paper

So I guess Ark didn't work out for did it buddy?

>le garbage lelelle
It's literally free money.
Pic related. Game Stop dumpsters are filled with good shit. You can make a killing reselling it.

I work at a grocery store in produce

nigger... theres a reason we throw that stuff away

OP is a pajeet for sure tf

>t. Yoda's follower.

Don't let all these shit for brains get you down, OP. Trash scavenging is a good way to save retarded amounts of money. I'd never do it myself, but I do see the value in it.

>ayyyy you brainlet

Dang user, thank you for that great laugh!

>not socializing the healthcare cost to preserve gains
confirmed for /notgonnamakeit/

real talk i probably spend about $15-20 a day on food. how can i reduce this? i think even if i cooked my meals every day it wouldn't save much and would take a lot of time

>dumpster diving
>when food banks exist

kek

*tips trashcan lid*

stop eating expensive things idiot

You know, celery hearts are like $1.97 and keep you full between meals so you eat less..

i literally eat the cheapest things i can find that wouldn't require me to spend time cooking

so snacks are $2 but the meals themselves are still expensive

...

I'm a bodybuilder so I need to eat a minimum of 3400 calories a day. My meals for one day cost ~$7. What the FUCK are you eating

i don't live in the states where you guys get pounds of subsidized chicken for $1 or whatever . even an egg comes out to like 40-50 cents so i don't see how it would be possible to get by on $7 a day

meal prep to save time.
don't pay premium for meme adjectives attached to your food
price check.
add legumes to your diet. Beans can be bought at reasonable prices and contain loads of nutrients. dried kg goes for 2-3€ in Germany, can't be much more in US with all the Mexicans around.
If you cook ethnic stuff, get the extra stuff required from their stores instead of the super market.

You can easily eat healthy for a full day for the cost of one fast-food run. Or several days for a restaurant visit.
There's a bit of a learning curve for both the cooking skills and storage of course, but average intelligence is more than enough to become a decent cook.

pic related, one of literally hundreds of guides to be found on Veeky Forums Veeky Forums and even outside of autismland.

How? Do you eat out every single day? You are literally burning money paying other people to make food for you.

It's super easy to eat a lot of healthy food for really cheap.
>brown rice
>beans
>value bags of frozen chicken breast
>potatoes (especially sweet potatoes)
>oats

Vegetables like broccoli are also pretty cheap, just gotta make sure you get the timing right so they don't go bad on you.

Also, seasoning is your friend.

Where do you live? I get 36 eggs for $5 lol

>leafy vegetables
They will look like diarrhea by the end of the week

there he is again

>i literally eat the cheapest things i can find that wouldn't require me to spend time cooking
Enjoy your cancer at 40; eating the worst "food" possible full of trans fat, corn syrup, harmful ingredients and bad macro.
where do you live nigger?

I get vaccinations for that through work since I already work with sewage.

Dumpster diving is illegal in my country because it undercuts market value

>Muh socialism

I live in Europoorlandia so food prices are expensive but on average I eat something like
Breakfast : Porridge ~10c plate
Lunch : Lentils in pasta sauce and whole wheat pasta 60-70c portion
Supper : 1 Banana ~30c

Now its not the cheapest possible food but it beats dumpster diving.

>Have a shopping list
>Store brands are fine in 99% of cases
>Always check the price/weight (€/kg)
>Buy in bulk
>Cook many meals at once

There's no calories in celery u fuckin retard, you can't run your body on that

canada

I guess our food is overpriced to pay for transgender surgeries and such

>tfw bag of milk costs $7 here in BC

i would rather grow food than picking garbage!!

don't drink milk then?

It's mostly empty calories anyway

doesn't really solve the problem of everything being overpriced across the board

but i need my xenooestrogens to speed up my transition senpai

I am sure something is cheap like beans or pasta and at least one cheap vegetable for vitamin and fiber.

but yes expensive food sucks

made me laugh

its intended to cut hunger instead of snacking bad stuff, not replace a meal, fucking moron.

>Supper : 1 Banana

top kek my dude

Good laffs

eating garbage and feeling like you're a financial genius while doing it, lol

-pee on the sink to save money on water
-eat garbage to save money on food
-catfish betas for money
-hodl
