Did Judas do anything wrong?

Did Judas do anything wrong?

Snitches get stitches desu

Why did Judas betray Jesus btw? Other than the financial gain

He realized that he hated pedos.

>did Judas, whose name means "a complete fucking Jew" in Aramaic do anything wrong when he betrayed his best friend for a few shekels?
What do you think?

But if he didn't betray Jesus then he wouldn't die on the cross for the sins of mankind. See, Judas was actually a good guy.

He probably thought he was crazy

He was merely a pawn in gods greater game, and now has to rot in hell because he betrayed the son of god and commited suicide

What a life

Because Jesus was a wanted outlaw and some people don't want to fuck with Roman Empire.

Free will exists. He could have chosen not to betray. The rabbis still would have found Jesus and arrested him.

No, since he didn't exist.

>dismisses theological/ moral principle potentially hidden in allegory in favor of one that treats the narrative as historically accurate
christ have mercy

>and now has to rot in hell because he betrayed the son of god and commited suicide
And Jesus knew that when he died he was going to ascend to heaven.
Who is the real martyr?

>Free will exists

To fulfill the prophecy. Jesus needed a scapegoat for it to work.

Even when free will exists, I think the deity that is responsible for our creation should be able to manipulate one single weak feeble human (especially since it [god] knows all of our vices)

He is able, He just doesn't do it, because it is contrary to the whole idea of love.

So you're saying Judas earned eternal damnation and the revile of Western civilization for 2000 years because he was the most convenient fall guy?

in the juda's apocryphal gospel it says that Judas betrayed Christ becaude jesus deeded someone to fulfill the prophecy, and jesus asked judas to direct the romans to him

Judas should be the main saint of Christcucks, without him they literally have no religion. It's kind of like how they cry at funerals, when if they had even a fraction of a brain they'd celebrate death as an end to suffering and the beginning of eternal bliss. The reason they cry at funerals is the same as the reason they hate Judas: They know there is no god and they're just lying to themselves.

I think Judas was a zealot and expected Jesus to be a nationalist leader but J wasn´t playing ball, so he became very pissed. Maybe he tought if the romans executed Jesus there would be political gains

romans had absolutely nothing on Jesus

If you're a Christian, no. Jesus needed to die for salvation to happen, and Judas was the catalyst for Jesus dying.

Secularly, probably. It's a dick move to rat out your friend like that.

I'm inclined to think this could have been the case. I also think he might have been mad about the incident where the woman anoints Jesus. If Judas was a true believer and thought Jesus was being a hypocrite by letting a woman use expensive oils on him (and then excusing it by saying that he deserved it), it's not a stretch to imagine him getting mad, disillusioned, and willing to take action against a leader he thought wasn't living up to his promises.

Judas sure seemed to think so.

People like Judas are a dime a dozen. If he'd stuck with Christ he'd be remembered fondly nowadays and Jesus's death would have been delayed by maybe a few months or perhaps a year at most. The rabbis were already out for blood and plenty of the common folk weren't too thrilled with him not being the warpath messiah they'd been waiting for.

Including Judas.

>"Judas was a saint because he fulfilled the prophecies!"
There was nothing special about Judas, he wasn't destined from birth to be the one who betrayed Jesus. What God wanted for him was to believe on Christ for his eternal salvation
However, Judas was a reprobate and he was unable to believe. If he was with Jesus for three and a half years and saw all the miracles yet he DIDN'T believe, it is clear that he was past the point of being able to believe before he met Jesus
Romans chapter 1 talks about people who have rejected God too many times, so God has given them over to a reprobate mind. At this point it is impossible for them to believe.
Judas was a reprobate, Jesus just chose some random reprobate to fulfill prophesy.

>So you're saying Judas earned eternal damnation and the revile of Western civilization for 2000 years because he was the most convenient fall guy?
Yahweh don't play.
