Honestly, a Perot presidency would have broken the back of the two-party system and implemented a lot of reforms to avert problems we're encountering today.

Perot talked a lot about new technologies to unlock oil reserves in the US, strengthening the US currency on a basis of something other than the petrodollar, and decried the Gulf War as a mess. He railed against Bush and the policy of friendship with Saddam's Iraq during the Iran-Iraq war.

Perot years in lieu of Clinton years. I really wonder what would have emerged from a 1990's where foreign policy objectives involved buddying up to Russia, weaning the European allies off of NATO, and non-interventionism.

Just watched the 92 debate and I can say that H.W. Bush, Perot, Clinton all had a good balance going with each other and their views. I think it was much more interesting that they did have an independent debate along with the main 2 parties and it helped change diffrent angles of the political talk as to the diffrent directions we could take for country, more options is never a bad thing.

(Granted I do not agree with all his policies like free college, single payer healthcare system, raising the federal minimum wage to $15.00 across the country) I still personally felt that maybe he could of done some great things for Americas future even if they didn't work we could at least say we tried.

I don't know why anyone would think this a good thing.
Performance pay is a fucking awful policy in every situation where you can't directly measure results.
School exams are an obviously indirect measurement, and even then only of part of a teacher's job.
Merit pay for teachers would automatically translate to schools teaching how to pass tests rather than actually educate their pupils.
Not to mention that it's bloody fucking unfair, since there's very fucking little a teacher can do to improve his facilities, or the environment his pupils have to live in outside of his classroom, yet these are both extremely important elements in determining a pupil's performance.
