We're the best long distance runners on the planet, we can out run by endurance any species.

Of course, a healthy fit human that is, not an American.

It's brains. Brain function is the main contributor to shit like putting a man on the moon or destroying entire Japanese cities in an instant.

He meant physical adaptation

Learn how analogies work retard.

Brains are a physical adaptation.

No you.

Guns and/or public relations

>Brains are a physical adaptation.
not for you

Your insult only works if you concede your claim about brains not being a physical adaptation is wrong.

BIG

HUMAN

BRAINS

Brains are physical adaptation but he meant a physical physical adaptation you acoustic fool

>a physical physical adaptation

A lion's claws and a squid's ink do not have analogous purposes, so the question doesn't make a lot of sense.

>Brain function is the main contributor to shit like putting a man on the moon or destroying entire Japanese cities in an instant.

But lions and squid don't do that stuff.

They're both self-defence tool.
We've got guns.

Stop sperging, it was just a joke

Opposable thumbs and brains. Call it God's gift or the product of evolution, but that's why we are the dominant species.

>It's brains. Brain function is the main contributor to shit like putting a man on the moon or destroying entire Japanese cities in an instant.

Theory 1: Both the claws and ink are physical self defense mechanisms so the answer for humans is a physical attribute for fending off predators, I said sweat glands as it's our best mechanism foe fleeing predatora and being able to outrun them over distance
Theory 2:
Claws are fight
Ink is flight
Next is freeze, and I'm not sure what that is in humans

OPPOSABLE THUMBS MOTHAFUCKA!!!

>They're both self-defence tool.

Not really. Lions have no natural predators. A squid's tentacles would be analogous to a lion's claws.

>Next is freeze, and I'm not sure what that is in humans

>what is overthinking

>Lions have no natural predators
They fight each other a lot tho.

Weapons. Humans have weapons. We also have other tools.

Unironically adrenaline

>They're both self-defence tool.
No, that's what the manes are for.

It depends on what you think the analogy is about. You're wrong to assume the only possible reading of the analogy is one where both the lion claws and the squid ink accomplish the same or similar tasks. An alternative reading (and the one that's more natural in my view anyway) is that it's talking about attributes that are characteristic of an animal, or attributes that an animal relies heavily on. Just because squid don't tear apart wildebeest with their ink doesn't mean the analogy doesn't work.

See above. They don't have to do "that stuff" for the analogy to work. The point is humans rely on brains for doing the things that are most characteristic to them just as lions use their claws for doing their business and squids rely on ink for doing theirs.

Without it we wouldn't have been able to death grip ourselves into the top of the hierarchy.

Are you saying the brain isn't the main contributor to the shit lions and squid do?

Possums and koala have that ability too, it didn't make them masters of the Earth. Pretty sure it's brains that do that, not thumbs.

Ding ding ding, we have a winner. Thumbs and the mental capacity to use them.

It isn't most characteristic of lions or squid. That doesn't mean brains aren't the main contributors to what they do, it's just that humans have uniquely large amounts of accomplishments driven by higher cognitive function. Lions and squid are driven by brain function too, but not in a particularly noteworthy way. The claws and ink are more traditionally identified as their noteworthy attributes.

No feathers and two legs.

hands

we evolved them to swing from tree to tree but we can also throw things, this made our ancestors good scavengers, able to pelt rival predators with rocks and ward them away from a kill we can then drag up a tree or possibly kill the predator

soon they started to harry injured and sick animals, throw rocks at birds and other activities, those with greater intelligence were better at this and became great hunters

>a physical physical
The brain uses more than 20% of the body's energy. It doesn't get more physical than that m8

Dualism has never held up to more than three seconds of critical examination. It's a world view based entirely on feels.

Nope. It's height. Manlets always fail against normal people.

All primates have thumbs you dumbasses.
