Mining RIG porn

list your rig setup and average amount you earn (day month whatever fags)

i stake about 1 dollar a day for about 6 mouths for 10 cents of power so 6*30*1-0.20=179.8

considering crypto threads straddle the line between Veeky Forums and /g/, id say this errs on the /g/ side my friend

looks cool though

204 gtx 1070s
like $850 a day.

How hot does that room?

Jesus. How long did it take you to aquire this much hardware without going into thousands of debt?

Newcomer here turning off time gaming pc (2x1080ti) into nicehash algo flip (based on top 10 whattomine coin algos) miner

Do you need to keep your wallet open to sprout bitbeans?
Can you close it and check back in a month and have a bunch more?

I'm a pleb who mines off my home gpu. I make like $50 a month kek

2 x R9 290

~1 ETH/mo since January

Me

10 RIGS
60 1070s

1840 MH/S
8500 WATTS

COST: $27,000 USD

Currently makes $5,217 after power cost.

Rent - $1100 / month

So profiting $4117 right now... hopefully ETH goes up!

Also, getting another 10 rigs of the same stuff in 2 weeks.
So double everything I just said (except rent cost)

Will I get my money back before 2018?

that's a really awesome setup user. I just made my first rig with 6xRX470 cards. Not even 200$ for each card so next month I will get my money back and see if I can build one with 1070s

where do you buy your stuff when there is no 1070 anywhere anymore?

also why do you want to build another rig right now when the near future looks depressive for mining?
I mean difficulty is skyrocketting, prices are dropping, other shit like PoS and all.

>nicehash

4x MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X 8GB

~$10-$12/day

nigger, my single 1070 gives around $4-5 with current shit prices, what are you doing

Yeah I'm a retard. I just set it up last week

I'm using nicehash, please tell me your ways what do I do...

mine equihash algo coins with ewbf miner and oc your memory

I get 120 Mh/s and whattomine.com says this should be about $10/day and I make more than that on nicehash so what are you doing...?

I'm running 31 cards. Some are 480s, some are 580s.

I have another 20 580s on hand, but not enough power to run them :(
Am thinking about getting some industrial space with three-phase power

why not eth though

stay mad theres no flaw in my post

...

What operating system and what are you mining?

anybody knows why sgminer sucks so much for old GCN 1.0 amd cards?

claymore zec/eth works good. and every new version was giving boost.
cgminer and his forks... works quite good too

but when i try to use sgminer (for any algo).... its always shows me very crappy performance.

like performance of 750ti or some shit like that.

Any of you mine fags live in Florida? I have industrial space and all the power in the world.

Can build aluminum components for racks, heat sinks and such also. I want someone who knows what they are doing to partner up with.

Would It be worth building a mining rig nowadays???

im on it now, and my profit has halved in a month, so what do I use?

Mining pool hub? if so, how do I set up multialgo?
if not, what do i use?

bitcoin ecosystem will always need growth, new miners. it has to stay profitable for the miners or it will collapse. if you do it right, bargain hardware and electricity, you can come out in the green.

or you could just buy the dip and hodl.

I know the linux ecosystem, and learning fast on how to multialgo, and in NC. How can i get in touch with you?

No pics, but...

Two of these:

Asus P10S-WS
Pentium G4400
8GB RAM
120 GB SSD
Thermaltake P3
Seasonic 850W PS
2x GTX1060 3GB
2x GTX1080TI

And one of these:
HP Z420
Xeon E5-1620
16GB RAM
1TB HDD
650W PS
2x RX480 8GB

Currently running nicehash and making ~$30/day. Nicehash's benchmarks say I should be making about ~$50.

All the hardware was free, except for the NVidia GPU's.

>Nicehash's benchmarks
Is it me, or does nicehash lie constantly on your profitability in its calculator?

This
I mine on a 580 and old 7850 barely makes 3.70$/day I must be doing something wrong, what should I use?

Is monero mining profitable with a quadcore cpu?

>I mine on a 580 and old 7850 barely makes 3.70$/day I must be doing something wrong, what should I use?

eth difficulty, ice age, difficulty bombs.

mining eth is barely worth it unless you got in a long time ago.

is Genesis mining worth it, or am I better off getting my own rig?

5*1070, 165 MH/s. overpaid the rig horribly and I'm gonna see ROI in 15+ months

~$17 / day, 6th card not working (feels batman)

making ok money by just lending bitcoin to margin traders, but want to get into mining
is it worth the effort?
how often do you need to fix problems once you have it up and running
thinking about starting with a 6 gpu rig and expanding once I start to see ROI

where do you go to lend?

Not worth it.

Example: they charge $2,000 for 200 MH/s LTC (Scrypt) hashing power. You could buy an a Antminer L3+ for $2,000 and get 504MH/s and pay for 20 kWh/day power use.

Guys did you spend much time looking for good energy providers or do you just go with whoever?

How technically competent are you? Mining hardware is fairly stable once its set up, but can be a pain in the ass to set up.

Do your homework on the motherboard. Some of them are extremely finicky (Looking at you, Z-170)...

>How technically competent are you?
not very, I've mined on my desktop for fun but I think I'd have to read a lot to figure it out

You're in NC though, what good would teaming up with you do? Are you willing to travel here?

I'm SW florida btw, if I was NE florida NC isn't that far. To where I am its a solid day drive.

yeah they suck

>Antminer L3+ for $2,000
in what country/website?

What does everyone mine here with
I tried using claymore dual miner mining decred and eth/sia but it just doesn' t seem profitable
You need a minimum of 1 eth to cash out in the ethpool
I currently use nicehash as it just werks
any suggestions lads?

My single 8-card rig sitting in my office.

8th card was added after this pic was taken.

miningrigrentals has a better return than nicehash, imo. Also, everytime I use nicehash my shares get rejected

Bitmain

nice cart and nice cards

the profitability thing is worst of all
they use the last 30 day average to calculate your gains instead of current prices. We're now at maybe 40% of the prices paid last month, and it's not like difficulty is going to stay or drop lower. That page is a complete scam

fuck. that room reminds me of the time i stayed in arizona during the summer.

I am willing to drive every few months or so, its no big deal for me to drive down there.

Nanopool automatic payout is .2 eth

Got under 250 h/s on haswell i7 which is .01 xmr/day

>I currently use nicehash as it just werks and scams
ftfy

No it doesn't faggot

how much oc on memory can i take being safe ? thanks bro

...

how much on memory to stay safe ?

What are you all doing once ETH POS hits?

ETC will stay pow, right ?

depends on the manufacturer, i got lucky and my 1070 has samsung memory - 9500mhz stable

where can i study on how to oc safely, bro ?

could i mine off a vps?

try google, friend!

OP here, the way i see mining is like oil mining, spoils of mining goto the most efficient miners(drillers). Oil companies have 5 to 10 years outlooks when they do drilling, and are constantly investing in the most efficient methods to reduce cost of extraction.

If you are doing crypto-mining, your biggest variable cost is energy, you guys need to look into solar to offset your energy costs and for fucksakes
stop thinking short term.

Also i theorize there will come a point where miners will make money off the computation power they have other than for mining, i dunno what yet but i think maybe research related stuff. People who want to crunch large amounts of data or indie studios that want to render computer graphics animations without going to some big hollywood gov setup.

Some old laptops and cellphones,b zero GPUs
Around a dollar yearly at current difficulty and prices
Crypto's not allowed on /g/

don't lay electronics on the outside of their wrapping like that

those wrappings are designing to keep electric charges on the outside, so laying electronics on top of them can cause a short curcuit

Its unlikely, but it happens

indiegogo.com/projects/rigmountain#/

There's generally no choice, I only have 1 provider for my area.

alright, we can talk about it [email protected]

Isn't the distributed computing power a Golem thing..?

Thanks
3gb because by the time the dag hits that mining will no longer make sense

Can antminer be used to mine other coins or crytos?

It says most powerful Litecoin miner, but can it be used to mine say Ark or some lowcost shitcoin?

I'm mining DMD, and that PnD from last week has cut my $5/day mining in half, as more people are trying to mine it, which also increases its difficulty.

However, despite this, as time goes on, more people stop mining it, meaning its difficulty goes down and my profits will go up.

So my advice it to just keep mining and don't stop.

It'll all be worth it in the end.

Same algo, sha256 for btc miner, scypt for ltc miner, yes

Why does this give me a boner?

Is it to late to get into mining? Do you guys mine a specific coin? Or like a multipool with BTC payouts?

I have a mate that owns a computer shop and thinking of dropping 30k to buy some 1060/70s to build a couple of rigs and set to ETH.

Ethereum difficulty jumped by over 10% in the last 24 hours
The net hash rate is now over 80 Th/s
equal to about 2.5 million GPUs mining Ethereum

jesus fucking christ.

I got 30 GPU's and other parts coming in this week, can't wait to set them up.

Where did you order them from

How many new Eth are created each day now?

Distributor in Cali. Supposedly GPU manufacturers are expecting to ship out end of July.

What's the next coin to mine? Vertcoin?

very nice how much power does it draw?

I'm looking for a new-ish coin that isn't very profitable to mine right now but could possibly rise high in price so what I mine now could be worth much in a year or so.
I'm willing to gamble..

Got a 1070 mining dgb all day
Made about 5-8 euro a day now down to about 4,80
Even tho the price droped considerably the difficulty halved what made it worth keeping up the mining

>they will lower mining rewards after implementing first stages of pos
>can literally happen this or next month
rest in piss amd fags

one GTX 1070 mining DGB should not be getting 4,80 EUR a day right now ... or you have secret NASA miner

Profiting? You're gonna need 4 months of mining to get returns. Difficulty is going up and ETH is down so maybe longer.

What would you mine if ETH were no longer profitable?

Curious because I'm biting my nails on a $12k investment.

I'm confident that I'll get my $$ back but worried that by the end of the ride I'll look back at 6 months of risk for a measly $2000 in profit and then only get $600/month afterwards.

Joking right? See the price? Using a calculator it's profitable now but think of how much that difficulty will go up overnight when everyone switches to it.

Lol beginner 1070 fag detected. There is a point of diminishing returns with overclocking. EWBF tells you your sol/kw ratio. Faster sol =/= greater profits.

Unless you live in a thirdworld shithole with cheap power. Then, I'm jealous :(

Just sell your cards for an instant 150+ per card return.

this...

I bought some 28MH/s 470's at Bestbuy for $165 in May.

Those 460's for $109 ain't to shabby either. They are starting to sell out too and being gouged out at $180. (still on amazon for $140 tho)

Check out craigslist. I see 6 card Mining Rigs for $5500.

Daily Reminder... 470's were $165 (480s $195) at bestbuy before all this and they were still making a profit. Everything else on top is going into someone's pockets.

I bet more people made money selling shovels and picks during the gold rush than miners that landed on the moon.

Got this nigga stable at last, dual mining ETH/SIA @ 217Mhs/2900Mhs.

ask your answers.
