No it's a slow board. The board with the most traffic is currently /pol/ although I think /b/ used to get the most traffic. Threads over there stay up for a couple hours at the most. Of course it's an echo chamber so the same thread goes back up in 20 minutes.

When the board was started a while back I joined up on the very first day. I was even the user responsible for the moderators changing the sticky image to Herodotus. I didn't really expect the board to thrive in the way it has.

Sure we don't have that many memes, the traffic can be relatively slow and the level of discourse can sometimes be shockingly bad (especially when &humanities is involved). That being said the board is comfy as fuck, some of the OC is fucking awesome, a board culture is slowly starting to emerge and most importantly Veeky Forums has managed to avoid being transformed (despite what some faggots on here might think) into /pol/ 2.0 or anti-/pol/.

/b/ doesn't have the force it once did. /v/ and /a/ recently overtook it, and since early 2016 /pol/ straight up dominates the site's traffic.

How old is Veeky Forums? I've been on Veeky Forums for about 5 years now, but I've only been venturing into Veeky Forums over the past few months (mostly because I started getting into Total War and enjoyed the Veeky Forums memes that crossed over).

I think Veeky Forums is pretty middle of the road honestly.

Boards like /trv/ are like watching paint dry. The cool thing about that though is that you can have conversations that last for months in the same thread. Generally a Veeky Forums thread won't last longer than a few days.

Veeky Forums is good though because even if your thread isn't bait it will probably stick around long enough to start some good conversation.

Yea it's great cause I can leave for work come back and still find the thread to add stuff. On boards like /tv/ and /pol/ the threads die within hours.
