Poor cg artist needs help

Poor cg artist needs help.
I'm a self-taught cg artist and I'm very passionate about what I'm doing, the problem is i don't know how to make money.
my mistake that i was born in a third-world country where cg has no place, and the sad thing is everyone see me as a loser who good for nothing.
If you like I can show you more of my works, and here the list of softwares I'm using:
ZBrush, Maya, MotionBuilder, 3Ds Max, SketchUp, UVLayout, Knlad, Substance Painter, Substance Designer, Marvelous Designer, 3D-Coat, Unity, Photoshop, Marmotset Toolbag and KeyShot.
My computer is not good enough for 3D stuff, especially when it comes to rendering, so yes I need money to buy better one so back to square one.
My plan is to make enough money to move to another decent county where I can continue my work and improve myself, but I'm stuck and I'm going insane. any help would be appreciated.
Here's my e-mail if you want to contact me [email protected]

Listen to me op, listen good. I wanted to become a concept artist. Got really good at design and illustration, and started getting work online, but it wasn't very consistant and it was mostly very entry level (although I was making 300-400$ a day for some time). Back then I was heavily involved in online communities of fellow aspiring artists and one theme popped up over and over: There's a quick fix for starving artists. It's the adult side of commercial art. I was hesitant and thought it was 'below me', but eventually gave it a shot and create two separate projects for which I pumped out hentai and furry art. I was way above average in skill, so my art stood out immediately. Took a while to get used to drawing the subject matter, but the followers, fans, watchers started storming my blogs like I was giving out free hot cakes. Soon after my email inboxes started getting all kinds of requests and offers. Now I can easily charge around 150-250$ for an illustration that takes me a day (at most) to complete.

You get burned out quickly because it's not even remotely fun (unless you're into furry perhaps). It's work. But it pays, and it's very easy to get started. You're a 3d artist, hop on tumblr and check out all of those overwatch futa porn animators that use the half life movie maker or whatever it's called.

Good luck, keep your head up! For the 'cool' work you need a kickass portfolio, and in order to get that you need time to practice and create. Time is money, and shitty porn work gives you money while improving your skills.

worked as a game programmer recently.

so what you need to do is you need to look up studios in europe and then send them samples, they are mostly looking for level designers but 3d artists are somtimes also welcome. They are looking for cheap people so let them somehow know that you are dirt cheap.

Lookup games and the studio names and where they are locate. If someone dont want you thank them for replying and ask if they know a place where you could apply they may have connections. You may have to live where you work.

I understand that portfolio is very important but the problem that my computer is not powerful enough for high-res rendering, so all I have are screenshots and low and mid-quality renders which I'm not sure they will be good enough.
If some game studio in europe wants to hire someone from oversea they better be a damn good talent artist. well, that's what I think, I could be wrong.

if you're brown you can always come to germany and larp as refugee. you do not even have to abide by the law. we love socialism so much, we're importing scum from all places. Don't miss your one golden ticket in life, become a burden on the german people. Pic related. Harvest time soon.

No, i'm not brown and don't worry, I won't be a burden on anyone, I just want to make some money and live a decent good life. Forgive me for being a human.

Learn auto cad and get an entry level drafting job. Learn solid works on the side and get a slightly better job.

Unless you move to an area with an animation industry or manage to do some remote contract work, then being a cad monkey is as close to your dream as you're gonna get

I didn't know that things are so bad for 3d artists that they have to look for work on Veeky Forums.

It's kinda sad, to be honest.

how do you get started, do I have to start drawing stuff and put in a blog? Also what are the sites to get people to notice your stuff and maybe order commissions ?

You must be able to design and program. That is the killer combo.

Also, start making your own website. Code it yourself so the employer doesn't think you're a square space autist.

Lastly, offer commissions to build a real portfolio.

That is all you need to do to build a good resume and get a job. Make sure you're creative and not copying other people's work.

Porn.

The answer is porn.

You do not need a beefy computer for great renders. Use marmoset toolbag or unreal engine to do realtime renders.

Make a tumblr, join a porn discord. Start out by making porn of popular characters (zelda series e.g.) or something niche for which you will immediately stand out (e.g. aliens, gynoids).

Make a patreon.

Your situation is a bit tough so here are my thoughts. If you're planning on immigrating I suggest you start making some money to save up. The market for 3D artists in your country might be non existent but that doesn't mean you can't find a niche and start selling your models online or contracting online. You mentioned you need a new PC for rendering but you have a chicken and egg problem. Well to break the cycle you'll have to find another stream of income, either get a part time job or start flipping things online, at your local market etc.. if after you try all of this and still don't make it, then yea I suggest you gtfo

If the only viable way for a 2d/3d artist to make money is to start drawing gay porn, dicks and anuses, it means that the field is pretty much dead. I feel really sorry for all these artists because I think they deserve more, but such is life.

if someone made sfm rlm porn of jay bauman i would dump money on that so fast

Its kinda sad that you have to draw degenerate stuff like dicks and animals fucking all the time to make money.

I wouldn't be surprised if the artist ends up as a furry or a tranny lover himself after being exposed to it for a long time.

>work at studio for a fixed wage, most likely not much more than minimum
>have to deal with dead lines, overtime, crunchtime, idea guys telling you how to design something

or

>work at home, your own schedule
>100+$ commissions
>patreon money
>direct interaction with your audience
>plenty of free time to work on serious portfolio

Hmmm

so the fact that you are drawing furry and chicks with dicks 8 hours a day, 5 times a week doesn't matter ?

If you keep on doing work you don't enjoy (and I think only a tiny selection of people enjoys drawing perverted gay art) you'll end up feeling miserable

The problem is not that you can't earn money that way, the problem is that artists apparently can't earn enough doing what they enjoy. Thankfully I'm getting into online market where, despite the crazy competition, you can actually choose what to do.

Did you read the sticky?

Reported faggot, enjoy your ban

"If you keep on doing work you don't enjoy (and I think only a tiny selection of people enjoys drawing perverted gay art) you'll end up feeling miserable"
I couldn't agree more

If you work 40h / week to get patreon money you are doing it wrong

No one is forcing you to draw porn you don't like. You're a man right, with balls still attached? Then just draw/model something that would get you off. Bonus points for making an actually rigged model you can reuse for multiple renders/animations. More work up front but will pay off in the long run.

It's a means to an end. It's the highest $/hour ratio entry level 3d/2d artist can make money with. You people on Veeky Forums especially should understand and appreciate that. In order to get to the higher levels, and to get hired for real serious 'cool' projects, one needs a certain skill level which is not reached overnight. While improving, degenarete shit pays the bills very well. And buys the artist much more time than working at the fish factory would.

make accounts on tumblr, deviantart and furaffinity. find a catchy name, and just start bombarding those places with art that's somewhat niche-specific. always sign it, always link your tumblr. post regularly and you'll start seeing momentum build very quickly. it's incredibly easy and if you look at artists like darkgem, their skill level is so insanely high that it's quite obvious the guy does serious work too. but there's serious money in niche weird adult art.

do vr hentai, accept shitcoins as payment before you are big enough to get a proper payment procesor

It's ironic. I work for film vfx and we often struggle to find enough people that we need locally so we have to look abroad. I guess it's all about being in the right place at the right time
