for starters, there is literally 0 flow. you have no sort of meter or syllabic rhythm.
second, you begin 5/6 lines with "i", and leave one random one in the middle of the second stanza to start with "for"
really 1/10 and kys if you think its good at all

Artistic merit of the album doesn't matter, I meant Kanye is a bad example of a businessman when compared to the other major hip-hop entrepreneurs he's a small player. Album sales are a fraction of any artist - hip hop, rock etc.'s revenue. It's in touring and licensing that they bring in the real coin.

OP asked is the rap game easy money, and what I am saying is Kanye isn't a good example to look because he had to work super fucking hard to make dope music. If you want easy money you got to look to another industry, or at least use hip hop as part of a broader marketing strategy.

Fuck what everyone else here says about rapping ability. Look at XXL's freshman class this year. There's so much to their image that has nothing to do with their rapping ability. They're all pretty much mediocre, but the image these guys create like XXXtenwhateverthefuck and lil pump is what drives their audience to them. Image, and persona. Being a "look at me" type of person always posting shit on snapchat and instagram gets them even more followers.

There's also a lot of credit due to their producers, who can really tip the scales. Look at Cheif Keef for example. Talentless mumble rapping hack, but his producer Young Chop was the real talent behind his sound. Same with Waka, Lex Luger contributed so much to the music.

So grow some dreads, get some gold teef, find yourself a producer and you're on your way.

meh you need to build a fan base and even with good songs people are shit supporters, I have a couple songs out on different platforms and I've only made a couple hundred bucks, even with some larger names attached to my music
plus believe it or not it's hard work writing songs mantaining an "image" and the music business is full of fucks who will drive you insane
